I tried a speedrun of this. 41:40 i got for the total time. I know that can be improved greatly because i get game over even before i get to wily from careless mistakes. Then i have to die in the second last wilt because i cant position the crash bombs right yet, and i died on the first wily from carelessness. Anyone else want to try it?

Sleepz, have you tried actually doing this on the NES and tapeing it and sending it to TG? the top score there is 36 minutes. Well.. as far as i know it is. And yes, I am trying a MM1 for TG 25 bounty. But, i dont think i should send it in unless i get a sub 25 minutes. My best so far on the NES(Without it crashing on me) is 31 minutes, since i only been able to beat it once without crash. But my NES isn't in perfect condition either, and there are Horizontal lines going across the screen and you cant really see the health. does the Video have to be clear as it is on ROM's or can it be lines like mine for TG?

It was taped on a real NES. http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3016&highlight=megaman http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=22&pi=23&gi=2019&vi=9719 My NES was messed up too. It kept crashing and wouldn’t power on properly, but Boco helped me fix it. It involves opening up your NES and bending each and every pin back that have been pushed in over the years. After that it worked fine, but it still crashes with the slightest bump. Even if the video quality isn’t so hot, you can still submit it to TG. They check to make sure that you recorded the power-on sequence and check for anything that might indicate cheating in the video. It doesn't need to be high quality, but it's for their benefit.

Yep. Just make sure it's recording before you hit power on.

I cant believe this. I get so dang close to beating the game in wicked time. I get to the last Wily stage and BAM, out of Electric. then i had no chance against iceman. had to get gameover so, i had to die 3 times. I think a good strat might be to die in 2 places where it does not effect the time by very much, maybe 10 seconds, and then die the thirs time on the last wily stage so that all my weapons is recharged.

Did you consider what the second-best weapons against the Robot Masters were?

No, I really dont know what they are. But i think i need a break from it. Since i have a long time to get the perfect run yet. But i cannot believe how mad i am right now. I gotta ask. What would be a good time for a No glitch speedrun? My time then(After dieing over and over at wily, not counting that) When i got to The last Robot Master Gutsman in Wily level 4, My time was around 25 minutes. But, then i started dieing, and died, and died.. and had so much bad luck i had to quit

Well.. I have to use Elec to Kill the Yellow Devil. Correct? Then i use Elec aginst The Megaman Clone since it works well. and after that, its just about gone. I have usually 3 shots left for iceman.

Lots of weapons work against teh Clone. Fire Storm hurts him just as much as the Thunder Beam does. It will be a little harder to dodge on your part though. Remember, he uses whatever you use. I like to drop into the room with the Hyper Bomb equipped. That way, he starts off throwing one which will sit there for a few seconds. Meanwhile, you can change weapons and start shooting.
