also I might add the video (timer starts at 5 seconds in) Link to video Quoted from Description now this is for my casual walkthrough but N.Gin I wanted to tas I was going for a time below 40 seconds I USED XS which is the PAL version not Huge Adventure which is the NTSC version so something big is going to go down when I face him on the NTSC total time 38 seconds

Looks very good, less missed shots. Looks like it can be a little better but I really like your strategy on him. Keep it up! You're doing amazing progress here.

OH By the way the new person aka VGR He is my friend he is actually attempting to any% this game but what the problem is, it that he is making major mistakes during his tas... now everytime he passes it onto me his tas I watch it carefully as it is any% 'cause if there is a slim mistake I have to tell him about it... the recent one he sent me had MORE than 20 mistakes in just warp room 1... the problem was he was over abusing as one of the problems the other is that he didn't have the right timing... Now his overall time is close to my WIP#3 cancelled run but mine had also errors and by picking up his errors he can be making it to warp room 2 in around 6:30 and not 7minutes yes he is just a rookie but lets hope for the best for him < BTW that's his First proper WIP he has done... any% reminding you guys (and girls) again. Help point out the flaws for him if you can spot some in any of the levels

2 things: • When facing those multiple hit boxes where you are supposed to bounce between them, is it possible to spin-smash them both in the same jump? (This works in Crash Bandicoot 2 on PSX) • In Crash Bandicoot N-Tranced there is a glitch that if you land on the absolute edge of a box you will break it but not bounce. Does that work here too? Besides that I thought this looked really well planned and executed. Remember to spend the Aku Aku masks so you don't get any unnecessary invulnerable sequences. Plan ahead so you spend them at the absolute best possible place.

Quite good for a new comer, but needs cleaning up. VGR should check out all my feedback that I have left in this thread. Don't be afraid to re-record, and use all the save-state slots. The rest is just planning more and practice practice practice.

The Glitches from Crash 2 cannot happen in Huge Adventure They changed the coding between the 2 i think I know what you are talking about but it didn't work :/ What I'm trying to do with Aku is to abuse him in level 3 and lose 1 of him in 4 I got to make sure I have 2 going into 5 my only option is to invisi as there is no other substitute :(

Autofire is a really bad idea. Sometimes you will not hit the optimal pattern using that, and sometimes you will generate lag when the game processes the input (depends on how the game is coded). Regarding the relic: You are breaking all the time-freeze boxes, is that necessary to gain the relic in this level? Because the 2second box in the 8-box contraption is a real slowdown. Remember that you should be going for real time and not in-game time.

Ok no Autofire... even though it was faster than manual at 25% and Im not going slower to hurt my thumb more... OW Taken to note im going to check what the times are before going for it again... also I might mention I am going for a FULL RELIC no Gold no Sapphire but Platinum 100% run so if i get gold I know what to hit avoid avoid the 1 & 3 only go for the 3 as it is on a corner going down Also the reason the video was Private is because I didn't like the run at all on that level FOUND IT :P Platinum was 00:54:40 so that means i can skip 1 and 3 seconds (00:40:70 was the time)

So here is my first attempt at level 1 ignore the independent part it still works on normal American versions. Spikestuff alowed me to tell you guys this because he bet me by afew frames (he is doing a video now) and he was actually quite amazed at my result

That is a very nice WIP! Are you using the memory watch file I posted 1-3 pages ago? A couple of slides did not look perfectly optimal. A good tip is to not use auto-fire but to find the frame where the game actually accepts the input. As I mentioned a couple of posts up auto-fire can cause you to miss the optimal pattern and even cause lag in some cases if the game is badly coded. Oh, and welcome to the forums!

for A second I thought you wrote and DONE Warp Room 3 and I was like BULL you cannot do that in 16mins then I found out that you Fought Ngin in Warp Room 2 and Finished Warp Room 2 MY TURN :P 100% Tas don't forget So Currently I was at Rosebud for the past 2 days had nothing to do so I tassed Warp Room 1 I picked up minor mistake that I did in Warp Room 4's Bonus round then fixed that (you'll see what I mean when the video finishes uploading) Now I'm debating myself with what I did in Warp Room 5 I'm not 100% sure on where I should Rerecord so I thought Just show you guys and girls and see what you think about it so far. Here is the Warp Room 1 in video I suggest watching certain points on the emulator but if it isn't working watch through here. The reason I write watch on your tas emulator is because I do stuff around while waiting and with my encode it was fine but when I used Camtasia to re encode from 240p to 1080p (still great and all) it doesn't show some of my random moments. ENJOY. (STILL UPLOADIN TO YOUTUBE) Link to video Information so far on run 2521 - Rerecords 10:05 - Time

A few things I noticed: Swimming levels: Instead of auto-firing A, find the pattern, it looks like you miss a thrust by a frame or 2 every couple of thrusts. 1st Snow level: You seemed to try to do a small jump over a Nitro Box when sliding on the ice, hit the box, and then made an ice-physics abuse long jump... Would it not have been better to just skip that small jump? 1st Nuclear Reactor level: Right before the first low passage you slide and spin, is it not faster in this case to just slide and afterwards run normal until it's time to slide under the low passage? Flying level: Don't auto-hold A, it looks really amateurish, instead, aim to never miss a shot... And for entertainment, shoot down all the planes (and bombs where possible). 2nd Nuclear Reactor level: Pay attention to the speed variable when you do the arm swinging. It is a constant 2 in speed. You should do as little of that as possible, regarding the second arm swing section, you can jump down to the platform and slide (or even slide+spin) before jumping back up, it should save you a few frames. Just re-think the 3rd one, it looked really poorly planned. After the 3rd arm swinging section you had another one of those slide+spin incidents that I noted in the 1st Nuclear Reactor level. 4th arm swing section same as the 3rd. Last jungle level of the wip: If you time jumping off the first elevator better, you can probably get off it sooner. N-Gin: Look at Spikestuff strategies and plans, this can be done much better... Same as the flying level you should not auto-hold A. Do not be afraid to re-record, even if it's something as simple as maneuvering in a menu, the auto-firing of A and Start does look amateurish even if they bear no real significance in time saved. Besides this it looks really really good. I am sorry if I sound very negative all the time, I only mean to help making this run the best it can be. ===================== Spikestuff: I will look at yours tomorrow.

(about the other levels wanted to keep it short so it wont look crazy) N-Gin: Look at Spikestuff strategies and plans, this can be done much better... Wow it like what I wrote to VGR about it on Skype.... but he didn't pick it on what I wrote so I'm quite frustrated with him on that. Now I'm going to tell the smallest problems that need to be fixed because you are going back to level 2 to start again Level 3: When you're sliding down those platforms slide > spin > jump up, don't slide > jump up it slows you down by a fraction of frames (every frame is important At this bit directly after checkpoint you had the smallest gate to jump on the bird to the moving platform if you fix up earlier you can get on that by jumping on the bird. Also take time while waiting to muck around do random stuff JUST DON'T BODY SLAM. At this point (wow still level 3 O_o) You jump on the Plant to go on the moving platform you miss then return. A good thing to do is use savestates here before meeting that point savestate check if you can go on that platform if you cannot reload that state you used take a 4 frame pause (so move left right quickly 25%) then jump onto the plant again and you might make it. I did this on my run so it won't look like I wasted that much time. Level 4 (Snow Level #1) Don't damage abuse on Nitro 1 abuse on Nitro 2 only trust me it helps in the homerun of warp room 5. Might mention only jump when possible at the run bear part, you jump for a life where there wasn't Nitro near it (if it had the Crash 3 physics there I would let it by but it doesn't) Level 5 (Sewer Level #1) This is what I meant by watching the damage abusing cause you slide under Nitro 1 without going back up. Past levels will reflect on future levels. Dingodile: Fine, but act more freely do random stuff you're waiting him to merge on the left side so behind him spin around spin and swim backwards anything interesting. Level 6: You know you're slow when that first slamming thing goes down you need to be in-between 1 and 2 to be fast enough. Level 8 (Sewer Level #2) There is a part you pause for a bit with nitro and an enemy you know you're slow when something like that happens in a run, what you do is damage abuse go through the second batch you have a few seconds of invisibility go through the mega batch stay behind it by a few pixels you'll be fine. Like Warepire said with slidespinning especially this one part you slidespin stuck slide under pipes and did a clean one with #2 but then a bad one at #3 don't do that fix that up Savestates won't eat you alive. Level 10 Nitro Part with 3 moving platforms there was 3 ways of doing that, Wait, Damage pass the Nitro (which you couldn't do) and go down already. From frames 53040 - 53238 you stayed on the platform if you crouch > Jump > Spin you can save frames by going pass that earlier. Ngin: THE MOST CRITICAL PART OF ANY TAS you did that very quick deferentially under 40 seconds but you weren't aiming you just kept shooting by not aiming you lose the interest of afew watches Flying levels: Like Warepire said don't hold the run will look messy if you do. Even though it's any% aim at some boxes or do what Warepire said aim at the planes or your choice try to keep 100% be spinning pass the planes with L and R buttons you can do this with Nitro too :D. Only take damage abuse at the blimps. Swimming Levels: Crash Bandicoot 3 physics are basically in all swimming levels where you can speed to be faster. Look at the watch whenever it says 2 or -3 spin cause you will be going faster every time... Crash has a mini rest (if playing on 25%) it goes 1,2,1,2 *SPIN* Repeat. VGR's Ngin Part with timer Link to video

OH JOY.... Warning Level 5 Will be changed (most likely going to happen) Might mention too I did a nice little glitch that saved time in Bonus level 5 where the spinning couldn't help and a random jump move left (Game coding move left not human move left) led me next to the top box giving Crash enough time to break that box. Now to go over a quote that is a week old
Warepire wrote:

In Crash Bandicoot (GBA) Lag doesn't happen the pattern stays the same so it's actually safe to use in water levels, all that human part needs to be done is the spinning when X = 2/-3 and it will be fine.

No comments on the first 4 levels, congratulations! Level 5: • Is it faster to body slam the bouncy boxes at the start? • In fact, all the bouncy box breaks look like they can be done better. • The last body slam before the crystal, is there no better way to break those boxes? • Right before that body slam you break a box next to a TNT counting down, stupid question but, wont the TNT blow up that box?

*Hint Hint* The reason I'm doing that level again is because I picked up on those mistakes The reason why I'm doing it again is all that AND during level 5 I got 3 glitches 1 that was needed 2 that were crap Body slam and random hight with mouse some of the bouncy blocks is random with crash with his stupid recovery *spin* 10-20 frames *spin* and yes last one i was slamming my head into a wall repetitively Level 5 was the weakest out of all of them but the only best bonus round so I know I got to go back to that and fix it and try and hopefully match the bonus round but now I need sleep Side question: Is there a Crash Nitro Kart GBA forum?
