You know this is completely different from Baxter's Movie. U version have no such a glitch.
This is in effect an improvement of TBR65535's TAS. His run used an improved way as starting a chain with one explosion. This game have a glitch, when you are doing chain you can get extra points (same with chain bonus) by erasing other blocks. So more points can be gained by reducing starting explosion. I managed to gain approximately or over 25000 points in every 13 chain, it saved time.

I haven't seen this, but I don't buy the version switch on the basis of [movie 936]this movie's description text[/movie] stating that the scoring is different between the two versions, and that movie already provides a faster version of Panel de Pon.
If there's an improved technique to be used in the original movie that doesn't resort to the J-specific glitch, use it with the ROM that uses the same scoring system.
You misread; this is the same ROM as the previous Tetris Attack run. He's merely stating that this run is completely different from the Panel de Pon run. As you'll see if you watch this run, it uses chains and not combos like its predecessor.
Nice improvement, zvsp. Thank you for doing this, as I wanted this to be improved and felt unable to do so both for time and skill reasons. Yes vote. Please improve Panel de Pon as well. Also, have you ever put any thought into doing a TAS of Pokemon Puzzle League's 3D mode? I was interested in giving that a shot.
Thanks much! However I don't know if I can optimize the present run of Panel de Pon. You may know also this movie, I feel it's nearly completely optimized. But I think there's possibility, I may try someday.
About Pokemon Puzzle League, I have the ROM but I remember it don't work on Mupen. I've also wanted to watch the TAS of PPL, but there is no information about working it on this forum and other sites.
The 3D mode is also contained in "Nintendo Puzzle Collection" which is on GameCube and brought out only in Japan. So once I thought I'm going to do this but it don't work enough to tas.
If there is any idea, I want to know.
Well, why not try to match it, then? If the author has been given ample time to submit to TASVideos, and you create the input independently, then there's no reason why not to submit your version (Pokemon Yellow is precedent for this, and this game is far less trivial than Pokemon Yellow as far as input goes).

I wouldn't know anything about this; maybe an emulator developer can comment.
Thanks for your response, and enjoy the encodes!

Hmm, I see. I want to do other tases also, so need to consider.

Glad to see you finally submitted this!
Really thank you, Baxter. I could just make a decision.
I would vote 'yes' if I didn't have lurker status. I spent many hours being good at Tetris Attack, and it's nice to see what the game would be like if I were a superhuman cyborg with frame-perfect reflexes.
A question that could offer improvement in the future: is it actually faster to clear the screen of all blocks with x1 score before L/Ring the board back to the top to x13 it again? It seems to me like it would be better to flatten the screen optimally and use the remaining blocks in another x13. Since L/R cancels STOP time, the board should raise itself immediately, and it would let you fill the screen faster for more multiplied clears.
I am still the wizard that did it.

<scrimpy> at least I now know where every map, energy and save room in this game is

Thanks for your comment. However, did you have a look through my description? I seem you're maybe wrong.
I wrote this,

That many blocks give me the x12 or x13 bonus scores, not x1.

Ah. Well then; nice job. :) All that remains, then, is to find a way to clear the entire screen every time.

I voted Meh (was even the first Meh vote (finally!) \o/ ) .. and although it was probably necessary, I didn't like the way you cleaned the screen and have to pull all the pieces up to the top in the end, ... it kind of looks like it could be improved ... at least to me o_o

I kind of had that same vibe, but I doubt the author overlooked better strategies...unless some luck manipulation could be done to get a better initial state. Publication underway.
