I beat coldman! I'm very pleased at how it went, even though I do a little too much turning but I thought it looked kind of funny. Sure was a change of look since playing him in 300 fps Another question is how do I do Frame Advance? The FAQ says the pause button but I dont know where it is.

It should be directly above the page up key (at least it is on my keyboard). When you have the emulator paused press the backslash key to advance a frame.

When in doubt, every emulator has a Pause function in the File menu. It should be right near Reset.

Does anyone have the movies of Megafrost's old run that goes up to Pirate man? Would be a big help for Megaman stages.

That run is the run that goes up to Coldman... I cant get the last Ice Wall to hit Burnerman out of the 3 thats suppose to kill him. I get 2 in to the spike but on the last one when I lauch one and ram it into Burnerman, the icewall immediatly explodes thus destroying the plan, any ideas?

You create the walls and launch them into Burner man? I always created the wall on top of him right as he became vulnerable and then pushed the wall.

Yupp, cuz then he'll land on the spikes to the left/right and it'll take alot more damage to him. That's why those spikes are there..

Or maybe papajones is saying that the walls ought to already have some velocity to them.

I never thought of it that way. Then again, there were a whole lot of things that always slipped my mind...

Nevermind I killed him the ol wall and spike meathod but it took me a few tries since Burnerman was being a fag about taking his ice walls. Next Pirate Man -Must go through menus a tad faster. Must master frame advance.

I made this chart for my level overview: Cons: -small mistakes that could of been avoided -I believe some of the areas could of been done faster -I had one Ice wall left I could of used to improve my time -I took several hits that was not needed after realizing I had 1 ice wall left. Pros: -The speed! It actually makes my eyes dizzy at times >.< -I especially love the small jump and dash at the one part to avoid the bouncing balls -The 1337 fast kill on Burnerman -I handle the situations in a effective manner.

Pirate Man defeated! IMO the stage was better played then Burner man's stage but maybe I could save a little time. Still good none the less. http://tinyurl.com/4g3bl Here is the link to the movie of what I have so far.

Maybe its just me, but the forte run seems much more impressive/exciting. I know its easier to play as him than Rockman though. Gigafrost's run seems to be better planned though--i didn't notice any wasted shots like i did in the Rockman run. btw, there is a ball thrower in Burnerman's level that papajones took damage to pass, it looks like it might be faster to just blast him as you're walking towards him. Just an idea
Do not try to bend the spoon, that's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth. What Truth? There is nospoon. Then you will see it is not the spoon that changes, it is only yourself

Yes yes, I know what you all want, and I redid Burner Man. This is a much more flawless run, there isnt any stupid mistakes and I never waste a shot in the stage, which took some extra sweat. The ending of the stage was ALOT better planned due to better luck manipulation which allows me to the use of more Ice Walls. By far this time, the run is played with far more precision. I also redid the fight with Cold Man, which probably was several seconds faster with only 1 wasted shot. :( Going to upload the video right now. http://s47.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=19VKZHKRC0Z8W3KEOSV16SZRN9 - Video.

it looks great, it might have been even better with holding full charged up shot less time.

I've taken a look at it. The movie file I downloaded played entered Tenguman's level. I'm going to give a few comments. The Coldman fight: When you hit Coldman, he is invulnerable for about 120 frames. The Mega Buster takes 120 frames to fully charge. Even if the cloud is there, it is still possible to hit Coldman as soon as possible with a fully charged every time he is vulnerable. When moving forward, spend as little time in the air as possible. Spend as much time sliding as possible, until such time when you must jump to change platforms. Try to avoid going backwards. If an enemy is in your way, either kill it and be gone with it, or get hit by it and go through. There is more to the Ice Wall than meets the eye. It can be used as a platform...there are lots of room where this can speed things up tremendously. Even better...put the Ice Wall halfway into the wall and jump on it. It will break almost immediately(allowing you to use another wall sooner), but there is a one-frame window when you can stand on it...and that is all you need. Try not to conserve ammo with this thing, although you do need 3 shots for Burnerman. You asked me about the glitch with the Ice Wall...it's not spectacular, but it can speed things up a bit. If the Ice Wall forms on top of you, it will warp you in a direction until you are out of it. This is mainly useful when you are making a horizontal jump. It also has a far better use in Pirate Man's level in the room with all the floating spikes; after entering, form an ice wall just off the first platform and have it warp you right into the spikes and make sure you're facing left. This will get you onto the platform quicker. The later parts of the time attack are considerably better than earlier parts, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Keep on practicing. As they say...practice makes perfect. EDIT: You asked me if there were any cases of the ice wall "glitch" in Gigafrost's Forte video. I don't think there is. Because Forte travels through the air quickly, he is already long gone by the time the wall has formed. Thus, Forte gets no use out of warping since it is slower to wait for the wall to form.
