Since you guys clearly can't get enough of this game I made this. It beats nitrogenesis's submission by 59 frames and Wak017's non-submitted run by 48 frames (I made the whole run after he posted it in the submission thread and compared my progress to it, so it wasn't done in vain), all from better optimized movement.

I was able to improve the run, sort of.
However, I can't record a movie for it, because GMV doesn't support switching controllers during a recording.
Apparently, Bible Adventures was not designed for the Sega Team Player Adapter, so if you set the controller to "teamplayer" from the emulator options, it will produce invalid input and the game will crash.
However, it won't crash in the level transition screens. If you set the controller to teamplayer after the final level is finished, you don't need to hold any buttons to make the last text box disappear. This way input can be ended 94 frames earlier while the game still completes in the same time.
I wonder what's actually going on in there. You can test it yourself:
1. Playback aglar's movie to frame 7131.
2. Pause emulator.
3. Stop movie playback.
4. Go to Gens Options --> Input... --> Controller connected: teamplayer
5. Unpause emulator to end the game.
Aqfaq, NitroGenesis, Wak, Aglar, and Aqfaq again: I love you guys. A lot.
And if this run becomes the motivating force behind improving emulator capabilities, something lastingly good will have come of it all! :D
A warb degombs the brangy. Your gitch zanks and leils the warb.
Enemies?, what are those and what they are for?...
Seriously, this game seems to be so worked and you people won't stop until the rom catch on fire or something... that would be publication worth though.
Seriously? Of all the games to TAS and/or obsolete.. people are contiuning to TAS this steaming pile of poop? Seriously?! WHY! There are sooooooo many better games that DESERVE a TAS.. ths is NOT one of them.

I foresee Randil here.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

It's probably because all of the shit talk on this game that makes people want to be the game worth it for a TAS. This includes me, not that I never cared about the game really, it's just that I wanted to make people realise that every game is beatable, TAS speaking.
Drunk post.
Oh and, I'll beat that game faster than that.
;).
My first language is not English, so please excuse myself if I write something wrong. I'll do my best do write as cleary as I can, so cope with me here =)

Hell, if you add in a couple pipes to go down, it's basically SMB1.
Except SMB1 has good music and sound effects which AREN'T annoying.
No vote AGAIN.
Of all the arguements I've seen against this game, I think this is the first one that brings up shitty audio. Which further supports my point that the gameplay is pretty spot on for SMB1 :-D
My point was that, unlike SMB1, this game's music (and sound effects) are terrible, as I said in the first submission's forum. Bad music decreases entertainment value, which is part of why I rated this submission so low for entertainment.
I also think Bible Adventures is a bad game choice because TASes of it are not entertaining.
I voted yes once again. I honestly can't see why this shouldn't be published. It's highly optimized and sweetly short, and clearly entertaining to several people. Personally I think it's more entertaining than many of existing publications, even recent ones (so it really isn't a question of "past mistakes don't justify repeating them"). I still can't help but to compare it to SMB, which isn't all that more entertaining than this (but which I think also deserves its publication).

We're starting to get a little off limits with this game's value .... it is charming, but ... in SMB1, we can jump on several enemies in a row to gain lifes, have warps, levels with different music, boss(es), and he can carry more than just one baby, he can carry a mushroom and a flower, and a turtle shell, .. which are all living creatures too =P
I like Bible Adventures for its simplicity, difficulty, bad collision detection, and other elements of most (Unl) games .. if you guys voting no think it's just running right (for justice..?), play the game, and see how the collision detection turn against you in a normal playthrough... xP

So it WILL be faster than 2 minutes .. =P

If the run can do all of that, we'll have a Gens 12a coming up with the improves, and it will probably be noticed on the emulator's files and readme text =P "It's all because of Bible Adventures and the guys on TASvideos, now we can run even more games without emulator bugs and such, we hope they continue helping us so we can help them more."
Or they could say it like an 11th commandment, since it's Moses we're talking about anyway ... XD
Voted Yes, but I want to see a sub 2 minutes run of this game.
I can't believe this is the third submission of this game and that a fourth is coming. It really amazes me haha
