If you have any WIPs of TASes that you stopped working on, post then here! I think it would be easier to post them in all one megathread instead of trying to look for individual topics to post them in sice it could be a hassle. Maybe someday, someone might want to pick it up & finish that run. For instance I have quite some unfinished WIPs that I would want to share. Marvel Land (Genesis) Tinhead (Genesis) Wonderdog (Sega CD) Wonderboy 3 - Monster's Lair (Genesis) High Seas Havoc (Genesis) Wrath of the Black Manta (NES) (~30 frames faster than the previous movie.)

Good idea. I might take a day or two next week to sort through all my unfinished WIPs. Expect a lot of movies, I have a reputation to consider. :)

You probably mean this thread. How does the NES version compare to the GBA one, of which there is already a published movie?

Lost WIPS? Let's see, it seems that after klmz VBA-RR(M) released, all my runs for GBA got desynced, so I've stopped those for now until VBA becomes more stable again. Otherwise, I can't think of any other runs atm. I think the games were: Telefang 2 Starfy Digimon Battle Spirit 2 and more....

I don't think the new core is accurate. It does seem more accurate, but you can just compare the timing differences with and without using a GBA BIOS under both old/new versions. Thta's to say, I don't think it's necessary to switch the versions if you are TASing GBA games, unless it can make a big difference. EDIT: However, for GB/GBC games, it does make a big difference in timing when they turn off the LCD... well, I might recommend using the new versions (v24-alpha or v24 "8.24.x.y") for GB/GBC games. EDIT 2: And I lost some WIPs, for ever.

I'm planning to TAS Mario & Luigi RPG1, then maybe GB Volley Fire. The Earthbound WIP is just a matter of luck (maybe someone can brute-force it with lua or something... Problem is that the glitch keeps crashing the game, thus requiring the user to restart the game and the script...). Kirby NiD I might finish later, it's just really hard to optimize and find a plan on what abilities to get the next few rooms. In Kirby Amazing Mirror, I hate to optimize the missile movement... Kirby Super Star on SNES has quite annoying lag behavior and RNG, so it takes weeks to optimize just a single room sometimes.

I only made some experiments and documented some games like GB Pokémon Yellow (triggering various events/teleporting/filling up bytes either with 00 or FF/increasing different memory values by 08 or C0), SNES Castlevania IV (trying out of bounds with no luck @ level 1), escaping from SNES StarFox "secret neverending path" with no luck, GBA scribblenauts tricks. Most of them written in hungarian, so I only translate/upload it if anyone is interested in them. Or ask me to do a WIP of it.

Found another one: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (NES) (~ 2 seconds faster than the current pub.) Unlike the other ones, I probably would have finished this one. But theres some sort of weird frame rule that I couldnt figure out. So I just abandoned this one.

Have you asked AnS? He seems to know this game rather well (but is on vacation now).
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Oh right, I forgot about this... Well, here's Duck Tales 2. It's about 2-5 frames faster than adelikat's run up to the falling bridge. Then I lose everything I've gained due to different random lag. I really think someone should look into this.

This WIP of Telefang/Pokemon Diamond for the gbc showcases a gamebreaking glitch. I can't seem to do it again, so if anyone can, they could obesolete the current published movie. Youtube of the glitch, in case if no one wants to see the begining.
