Completely new to the forum, but I've been coming to TAS for years. Due to a fractured tibia and a lot of free time, I started Development on a Roku Channel for TASVideos. Here is a little sample of the player actually working. I picked a video at random to throw in there to test with. The goal here is to give the site more exposure while encouraging people to continue working on videos. Anyone familiar with Roku BrightScript is more than welcome to contribute. As of right now, It is in a very simple state. More of a prrof of concept than anything. Any comments are welcome and I hope to have it available via private channels in the next week or two.

Awesome! I don't have any experience developing but I'd be happy to help test out. Been wanting something like this for a while.
I make a comic with no image files and you should read it. While there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free. -Eugene Debs

Can you deliver some info on that Roku & its concept?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

http://www.roku.com/ It's a box for your tv that streams digital video from the internet, primarily Netflix. The main issue is that it does not support a lot of codecs and containers. But, it is relatively cheap and usable. For example, my parents can use it more easily than their oven (which, to be fair, is rather more complicated than it should be). See also: Boxee Box, Apple TV, Google TV, dozens of others. Wave of the future, IMO :P
