Awesome to hear you're apparently back to TASing. Additionally, could someone encode to mp4 the VIP1 100%, the VIP2 "100% Almost Capeless and Yoshiless," and the VIP4 100%? I don't have access to my computer to watch the SMVs at the moment and likely won't for quite a while.

Watched it, very well done as always! Not a big fan of the game itself though, I think there are too many levels with 2 exits with practically identical solutions, so you end up watching the same level twice.

Marcokarty: fixed the links. Thanks for letting me know. boct1584: They can be watched at nicovideo. If you don't have a nicovideo account, you can watch them at http://dic.nicovideo.jp/v/smXXXXXX, or at http://nicodown.dip.jp/ (submit the url of the video you want to watch). Fabian: yeah there are many repetitive levels which make the run look sort of boring. I think this run would provide the essence of smw tasing rather than entertainment.

Thanks for the Nicovideo links, Mister, but the reason I asked for encodes was so I'd have something I can watch on a Playstation 3. EDIT: The new links for the IPS patches all give me 403 Forbidden errors.

Man, you can use Orbit Downloader for to download these videos and to convert to MP4. http://www.orbitdownloader.com

I downloaded the new IPS Patches normally, but just Vip1 and Vip4 worked here. Vip2 and Vip3 have errors when I to try to extract the zip files.

The site for that Orbit Downloader says nothing about it being able to convert them to MP4, and even if it did, this computer isn't powerful enough to do ANY video transcoding work.

I don't said this. My bad English said. For to convert you need another program, like Total Video Converter. For to play the files downloaded with Orbit (.flv), just use Total Video Player.

As requested of boct1584, here is an HQ encode of VIP Mario 1 "Almost Capeless and Yoshiless All Exits" by ISM: http://www.mediafire.com/?iiju1ajweq6g6es http://www.mediafire.com/?qxhkfh5g33qwm26 Note: It's in two parts due to a 200 MB limit of free mediafire. Edit: Links updated to new file that fixes a 8 ms delay in audio

The links work for me and the site might forbid access from some countries. But I don't know other ips links with no problem. Could you try the links again with japanese proxy?

I'd been away from tasing due to a machine trouble for 4 weeks but I'm now back and working on vip3 run. Anyway, here is a new wip: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/22905541/Mix3_486.smv It's 4850 frames ahead of my testrun. There are hogehoge61's ideas here and there, and I would thank him. I'd recommend this level as the highlight of the new wip, where numerous glitches are combined and utilized, such as rope glitch, dragon coin glitch, sticking mario into the block by block duplication and boosting through a ceiling with two items. It should be funny to watch heh :)

Amazing run Mister :) Watching it currently, very impressed, and I'm only on the first world still. I have to ask, in the second level, secret exit, why do you not take the key and the pswitch in order to boost though the ceiling? It would allow you to reach the keyhole faster... or is that not possible? I think I remember seeing a post about it.

Yeah you are right, it should be definitely faster, but I didn't know that trick at that time and I'd never thought such an improvement till you pointed it out. So well... I'll maybe return to that level and redo my work. Thanks!

i guess this is where i would post this... so i am doing a tas of vip 4 and wanted to know wat the quickest route would be. since this is my first time playing it, i have no idea wat it is. if someone could just tell me wat levels i need to beat and which paths are quickest that would be awesome. i can figure out the quickest way in the level, just dont know about which secret exits and which warps i need to take, etc.

If you're not leaving any tricks off-limits, just watch V's 100% TAS, see which sequences of levels are the fastest, and do those.
