I have a bunch of save files (.sav) from no$gba that I want to transfer to DeSmuME, but whenever I load the ROM in DeSmuMe, it makes me start a new game. Why? Am I putting the save file in the wrong place? (It's in the same folder as the ROM.) All save files are 512KB, and no$gba has its save format set to "Raw", not "Compressed".

Just tried that, didn't work. Am I putting the (.duc) file in the wrong place? Or does it not matter? I open DeSmuME, load my ROM, then select "Import Backup Memory". I select the (.duc) file. Nothing happens, so I reset the ROM. It still makes me start a new game.

make sure you use very same rom. I had that kind of problem importing (e) Phoenix wright save to (u) rom.

I'm definitely using the same ROM. NO$GBA.INI says that the save format is "Raw". The ROM I'm using is "0037 - Super Mario 64 DS (U).nds".

The RAW format is the same format that the DS uses for it's save files. The raw save file is 512kb by default but is not completely full generally. You will usually have to remove any trailing 1's that fill up the rest of the 512 kb. Luckily SM64DS' save file occupies the entire 512kb so there is no need to do any nasty hex editing. Here are the steps you need to follow to get your save file working: (8 stars in first file and 57 stars in the second file right?) 1. Open up DesMuMe 2. Chose Config -> save type -> EEPROM 512kbit 3. Rename your save file to the name of the ROM you are using. 4. Open your ROM That worked for me, but I used the european version of SM64DS. So there's a possibility it might not work.
Measure once. Cut twice.

Has anyone got a 100% esque save file for New Super Mario Bros DS.. I've tried using the AR saves and convert them for Desmume but all I get is a message saying: "Your data has been corrupted".
