Mainly because different emulators are used and I have no understanding whatsoever of the japanese language ;) (working fmv's on the site not currently on bisqwit's site are Rockman 5, which I think is obsolete now and also Dr. Mario)

Each listing tells which version of which emulator to use. You probably have the wrong version. I watched the Rockman 4 and 5 videos and they were nothing special. They were no damage runs that weren't concerned about time.

The most of the runs on that page are 'no damage' runs. There has been a link to that page before under topic 'High Level Challenge' at the Game Movie Making section.
