I know for certain SSBM and Metroid Prime have revisions. (I have a v1.02 SSBM and v1.00 Metroid Prime.) Games serials are imprinted on the backside of the disc - DOL-XXXX-0-00 where the double numbers represent the version (the 4 X's are the game's serial).

Are you guys seriously getting your inputs to sync? I've been trying and not been having any luck..

I wouldn't know much about the inputs, since I don't TAS anything. Unfortunately, sometimes it feels like I am since Mario Kart Double Dash run at roughly around 60-75% speed. Gotta get me that new Processor.

Here are some minor and significant changes that you all should be aware of before they release an official version (which should happen pretty soon): Multiple wiimotes working Merged JIT and JITIL (this one is very welcoming because many people got confused when they say two .exe files, but they are now merged) Lots of improvements on various plugins. Implementation of AA = Antialiasing (this one is pretty big and long awaited by dolphin users) ipl audio for pal Pending between fullscreen and default screen sort of fixed F-Zero now works! Removal of a lot warning messages GBA link cable work (this is also big news :D) More Lua stuff added.

So, the next release will be an official release, and not just a revision? I sure hope the next official one works well. And hopefully, sooner or later, they'll get it working with Phantasy Star Online 1+2.

For the record, this means we can TAS Gamecube/Wii games now?

Dolphin has had rerecording capabilities for a while from now; the ensuing movies, however, have not reliably synced as yet (unless this has changed recently and I've missed it).

Yeah, I believe Dolphin was pretty unpredictable when it came to playing back the input. I'm going to check out this Release Candidate and see how it does with a few short test runs or something.

I tried a rather short run of ssbm with svn 5163 (essentially the version that was split for release), it desynced rather fast. dolphin seems to lack a proper recording interface, hotkey configuration, and of course sync stability. It looks like we'll be waiting quite a while before we get to tas with it properly.

ok. the thing with the input is it will play back synced for the most part but only if you don't use savestates. The problem is when you load a save they haven't told dolphin to delete the input between where you are and the save which causes major desync.(also that is only what i think it is...i'm not posisitive)

I tried a demo recording of every game I own and each one de-syncs straight away. Even without the use of save states.

i didn't try it on a recent revision last time i tried was like 300 revs ago but you also have to disable stuff like dual core, idle skip, and frame skip for it to work.

Really simple/stupid question, but I can't find any answer for it - what's the default hotkey to advance frames while in frame stepping?

Iirc, it's "\" (may be spacebar), but you can remap it to most other keys. I usually use right Ctrl.

Hm, neither of those seemed to work. Do you know where to remap it? I can't find anything to do with it in any of the configuration menus.

OK, I finally figured it out. You have to have focus on the emulator's window, not the game window. F10 is the key, though, thanks.

As of a month ago, not only did it not work, it didn't compile without modification with rerecording enabled.
