(I don't speak english) Super Bomberman 4 is one of the sequences most creative and interesting series for the SNES platform. There are 4 areas to explore and one just for bosses.

Game objectives

   * Aims for fastest time
   * Takes damage to save time
   * Genre: Action
   * Emulator used: Snes9x-1.51 improvement5.2-win32

Comments

I used only the second player to access the items in the stage 1-2 and thus make the race more quickly and cool.

Stage times (remaining time)

1-1= 2:36
1-2= 2:50
1-3= 3:49
1-4= 3:50 (with time item)
1-5= 3:44
1-6= 3:53
2-1= 3:51
2-2= 3:52
2-3= 3:51
2-4= 3:49
2-5= 3:47
2-6= 3:48
3-1= 3:50
3-2= 3:49
3-3= 3:51
3-4= 3:49
3-5= 3:53 (with time item)
3-6= 3:46
4-1= 3:52
4-2= 3:51
4-3= 3:51
4-4= 3:49
4-5= 3:48
4-6= 3:46

mmbossman: I don't like the arbitrary use of the second player in 1-2. A full run using two players might produce a better viewer response, but people don't seem to find this version acceptable. Rejecting.

Nach: The TASing wasn't up to muster for this run. A better TAS however would be acceptable.

I got a few bits to complain to you wwmarx:
  • You use two players only on 1-2. Yet it would be faster to keep both of them the whole time.
  • It seems like you made a lot of unneccessary lag during waiting periods like in boss battles.
  • You didnt pick up any animals even though their bomb blasts go through barriers.
It looks like it was executed well. But I just feel like it could be better. Therefore I must vote No. Good luck next time! ;)

Finally, a good run of Super Bomberman 4! I think this turned out pretty well. A two-player run would probably be better, but a one-player run is still acceptable to me. (I would be in favor of a faster 2-player run to obsolete this.) I am a little disappointed that this game doesn't allow you to move really fast when you pick up the roller skates. Also, Sonikkustar, do you know if the time needed to pick up an animal outweighs the benefit of riding an animal? It seemed to me that once Bomberman could walk over obstacles, animals weren't really necessary.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. I can't see any flaws in your movie, other than your choice to use only one character of course, it kept me entertained the entire run, so, Yes vote wwmarx.

Thanks for the encode, Aktan! I found this to be pretty dull myself. I watched until about halfway through world 2 before stopping; the gameplay didn't seem to be picking up any. Voting meh.
