I never realized how easy it was to post vids on Youtube when you have access to a digital camera. Anyway, I thought this may interest any classical music lovers. 3rd movement of Beethoven's Appasionata sonata. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OQXi5xe7uY Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBB1S426vQY Bach's Partita no. 1 excerpt 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3jK7Cro5Ns Edit: I couldn't stand the way the first song turned out, so I redid it. Still not quite up to the standards I would like but it will have to do. I also added another link of me playing one of my favorite Bach pieces.

I'm very impressed, both songs were very well played and I didn't really notice any mistakes. I personally like the sound of old pianos, so to me, that's just a bonus! How many years have you been playing the piano? To me, it sounded like you have several years on your back at least. I'm playing piano myself (though I'm not as good as you are), so this got me a bit interested in perhaps digging out my own digital camera and upload a video myself. Once again, really great job, I'd love to see more from you! :) EDIT: I uploaded two videos myself, and just to make it clear to everyone, I'm not in any way a professional player, I've barely had any lessons even, I mostly play for fun. Anyway, perhaps some of you might enjoy these: Gathering Stars in the Night Sky from the game Xenogears. Comptine d'un autre été l'après-midi. Now I hope to see more users here upload their own piano videos! :)

Yeah, way back when it first came out. My memory really sucks these days, so I forgot the whole storyline. I do remember bits and pieces like when he was playing “Flight of the Bumble Bee” on the piano.

You are too kind, really. Other people wouldn’t share the same opinion, like me for instance. I tinkered around with the piano since I was about 9, but I didn’t start practicing seriously until middle school, after my music teacher noticed that I had perfect pitch and told me that many musicians would kill to have that ability. I also discovered that I had really good dexterity and was able to play fast songs. Anyway I'm off to check out your vid now. That's neat that you chose a Xenogears song. My avatar didn't happen to influence your choice, did it? Edit: That was actually pretty good. Can you sight read?

Nice going, both of you. I'll show myself off too: As it happens, I uploaded my first piano video to youtube just a few weeks ago: Elton John - Daniel Cover (watch the original it's based on here, don't listen to the studio version, which is much worse) Mostly a test video, planning on making more when/if I get a camera.

Hehe, nope, I've been playing this song probably even before I joined TASVideos.

No, so it takes some time for me to learn a new song. However, I've been getting better and better at playing by ear, so that helps out a lot. Nice playing Fabian! Did you learn it from sheet music or did you mostly play by ear?

Some combination of both. Most songs I play, I look up the chords online (a page like this) and figure out the rest myself. That's more or less what I've done with this song, except I do have sheet music for it too. More often than not, it's just better to figure something out for myself than go blindly by what the sheet music tells me. For pop (and similar) songs, that is.

Hey, nice skills. Can you play "Believe"? That's definately my favorite Elton John song. And I doubt it's as complicated as "Daniel".

I never have, but I have the chords. I'll see if I can trick my girlfriend into loaning me her camera in the coming day(s).

That's a great idea. I hadn't thought of that. I'll go ahead and edit the name of the topic. I can't watch your vids until I go on a normal computer though. edit: Wow, the "Star Spangled Banner" sounds really good on the guitar. Much better than the racket I hear when it's played by an orchestra. Your version actually made me feel some emotion even though I am not patriotic at all.

Here is me with an ocarina. Recorded a few minutes ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssG2AI1yxTU More often though, I do music using a computer. Like here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=9D3E124A0B52A908 I also have tried singing a bit just to hear for myself how I sound. http://bisqwit.iki.fi/music/mp3/Bisqwit/taivasinva2.ogg Here's one where I sing the Finnish folk song "taivas on sininen ja valkoinen" (the sky is blue and white), in dual voice. Produced in 2007. The accompaniment was created with Scream Tracker 3 as an AdLib track, then played through a MIDI synthesizer.

This is me playing and singing the last part of "Round Here" by Counting Crows. It's just 4 chords so it's very easy to play, it's the singing that is trickier. This was more a test to see how well my digital camera recorded singing, but it turned out pretty well so perhaps someone will enjoy it. Sorry about my English and sorry about the small mess ups (at 0:31 and 1:06). The original song can be found here, and the part I did from starts at around 3:06 in this video.

Gotta say, your singing was exceptional. :)

This song was my attempt at changing up my voice for kicks. You'll notice that I'm [still] quite terrible with video quality! They Call Me Waluigi (Also, I didn't compose this beat.)

Got my first video with proper audio and stuff up on youtube today, pretty happy with it. Another Elton John song, check it out imo: Elton John - Can You Feel The Love Tonight (Piano Cover)

Anyone remember Save tonight by Eagle eye Cherry way back in 1997? I recently found the chords for this song, so here's my take on it. (sorry about the camera angle, I taped the camera to a shelf and it didn't turn out very good)

Your piano playing was sleep-inducing but I loved your vocals. Save Tonight is one heck of a nostalgic song for me. Here's my friend playing one of her own compositions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoiiaMR56jA
