• Aim at the fastest completion
  • Aim at the best ending
  • Use death as a shortcut
  • Take damage to save time
  • Use manipulation of luck
  • Some entertainment trade-offs
  • Use of a bug
In this epic RPG, you have to fight an evil religion that tries to take over the world. Normally, this quest would require hours upon hours before you could hope to conquer evil and its many spawns. Put thanks to luck manipulation, this quest can be completed under five hours.
This run is 5200 frames shorter than the previous run. Here are the main improvments :
  • The skycave glitch worked. Nina was able to walk through a rock on her way to the GUardian (it works only once)
  • Guardian defended
  • The Necroman fight was shorter, probablt because of less healing
  • I didn't shop in Dologany
  • The opening round agaisnt Barubary lasted only one turn
  • The Deathevn fight was dramatically shorter
The main improvements are due to the Meow staff. Although getting it was a pain (I needed a lead-off attack against carms), it was worth it. Thanks to Mastania for the suggestion

adelikat: Accepting as an improvement to the published movie.

Did you hex in the improvements or did you redo the whole movie?

How do you do that, and is it legal?

Finally found a few hours to watch this run. I wish the game were a little more glitchy, but it's still entertaining especially since the plot is largely intact. The run didn't feel that much different from the previous one, though nice improvement with Barubary and Deathevn. Yes vote.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

the difference starts at the skycave (around frane 720 000). the only improvment that COULD be made would be fishing for the empire sword. but this one needs careful thinking. Would it be possible to get it with aN Ordinadry bait^

I just wanted to say that Comical's link has expired for me. :'( Is there any other place that I can download it?

The Sendspace link is still down. Can it be reuploaded? Otherwise, can it be removed, at least for now, from the commented movie category? It seems that having a broken link to a commentary is the same as not having a commentary at all, at least to me.

More than five years later, the broken commentary link has not been fixed.
