While probably not the most logical game to TAS, it's quite fun to play and I can see it being totally annihilated with tool assistance. Now all we need is the public's opinion as to what goals the player would be aiming for if/when a movie is made. I've been thinking of a few, but due to the randomness of the game's progression (while linear, it still leaves the player with quite a fair bit to do but no 'directions' as to what they should do next) it's hard to decide. Should the player aim to complete all the main character's games as quickly as possible? Then possibly complete all the mini games and unlock all the toys? Like I said, maybe not the logical choice, but I'm sure there can still be fun had with it. The video works fine until I upload it, then it gets screwed. It's still watchable though. Sorry guys. The game is very cut-scene intensive. Only about a minute of the footage is actual input (not counting the very beginning) and the rest is the intro movies and such. As far as I'm aware, those can't be skipped unless they've been watched at least once (unfortunately...). So what do you guys think?

This seems to suffer from the same issues as other WarioWare games from a TAS perspective... there's not really anything you can do to speed it up. On the plus side, so far it looks like each micro game is completed as soon as it comes up :) Are there the bonus mini-games like skateboarding in the original one? Those might be more promising.

I'm not too sure, you do eventually unlock a few other random mini-games that let you do some cool things, but to get them you have to beat the game first.

Maybe if they're cool enough it could be a starts-from-savestate movie...

Maybe, but I won't push for it too hard... If that did happen though, what would be the main objective of the run? Would it be pure speed smashing through all the microgames or something with a bit more "depth" to it?

you can actually complete many of them before the fully appear on screen, so if done as fast as possible it's very boring to watch. It might be better for the parts that have a timer to beat them in the last possible frame. That way at least the viewer can tell what the goal is and it doesn't waste any time.

This is probably the best option. Even still, you can't really impress anyone with the knowledge that you WILL be completing the game, even if it's at the last second. That doesn't leave you a whole lot of options, since the whole point of the Wario Ware games is tension.

A while back, I made some slightly more optimised TASes (most noticeable in the first boss level) of the first three stages, Wario, Mona and Jimmy T. before I realised I was doing it on the PAL rom, and it would probably get rejected anyway for teh same flaws as the previous games that have been submitted. As errror1 said, most of the microgames can be completed before you can actually see the game, although i would say this adds to the entertainment factor, but there's still the pause of a few seconds on each game that ruins it.
