You'll see it in the workbench when it's done I'm assuming.

Yeah, basically since there's just that one fix, the next "update" will be in the Workshop. Plenty of distractions at home... Woah... has it already been three weeks since I made that post? O.o Where's all that time going (other than to pokemon?)

Just did a little test TAS of how good I am at TASing this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAsv-W3XKd8 This was just to test my skills not a WIP. But I might pick it up later.

Looks good for a beginner. The most obvious mistakes i noticed where in the boss fight. You didn't hit him immediately after the invulnerability ended (that was visible even when watching with normal speed). Another thing was that you stopped one time to shoot a spider's nest. I'm quite sure you can get pats it without slowing down. If I recall correct, i think it saves frame or two when you move dash-jumping, not just plain dashing.
Which run should I encode next? :)

Isn't it faster to take near critical damage from the boss ASAP so that the saber spawns immediately? You get to skip the majority of the fight then.

Zurreco's correct. In GigaFrost's cancelled run, he takes damage immediately and gets the sabre right there. If you're going to seriously consider running this game, I believe in the submission thread are listed areas of improvement to Giga's run; most of the improvements involve boss battles.

Since it by now seems very unlikely that Gigafrost will finish an update of the run I went ahead and started to play around with the game myself. So far the intro stage is completed, and 13 frames faster than Gigafrost (mostly, if not solely, from better damageboosting). I also kill a lot more enemies for funnsies. Now if there has been any new tricks glitches or timesavers found for this game since the last submission (and the improvements listed there), or if someone is secretly working on this game already, this is preferably the time to speak up. I don't want to waste my time after all :) WIP

Meh, I'll continue working on the run whenever I'm bored, and decide whether to fulfill or not later (depending on how big the difference is between them).

just watched the current MMZ tas and I have a question, why wasn't the cyberelf in stage 2 picked up (the one dropped by the spinning wheel enemy), if you withdraw it from the transerver you can use it to chip off some time in neo arcadia temple, I think about 5 to ten seconds. another thing, I don't understand how the f*ck you can cancel the slashes with the buster and not hit the boss/trigger the damage barrier, can someone explain that to me?

I don't think so, you must finish(not cancel) the "find hidden base" mission then you can go to the mission which you said.

The boss also have a little invincible time.

they do have a little invincebility time? well, I tried doing it on GBA and they gave me ALOT of invincibility time >.> Also, I'm not referring to canceling missions, I'm mentioning a new tactic I discovered while speedrunning Zero. the cyberelf dropped by the wheel enemies in the second stage (in your video at 3:48) can be used to save time in the neo arcadia temple area. You know when you have to wait for the blocks to appear? (8:40) you can activate the elf, then rush through the enemies and jump in the deathpit on the right...the float back upleft to the platform. oh well, I'll show you an example as soon as I get one, I'm submitting a speedrun of Hardmode (singlesegment) all missions to SDA, if it get's accepted, you'll see how awesome cyberelf abuse is.

I've been thinking and asking myself alot, if a TAS with all bosses should be done. I would love to experiment with this, though, im not sure wich could be the best route for a TAS, can someone please do some feedback. PS: I experimented a bit with Heavy Mechaniloid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmRco9WCSv0 Though this won't matter for a normal TAS, unless i could get Charged Saber before this mission comes.

I finished the intro stage and half of the Disposal Center stage, compared to computerbird's TAS, i haven't lost any frames, so we have the exact same time, i also tried to improve it, but as far as i can see, it can't :(. xD, just see your WIP, maybe the intro stage is not too much change than my run, i think you should do some different actions to show what your style is ( for example, try to kill more enemy and so on). By the way, do you want to get the Triple Rod and Shield?

Not sure yet, but there are realy usefull strats that need the Recoild Rod like the a submarine skip, also it come in handy vs Anubis. Also, im not yet sure on the route, i may go to the train mission first.

i think the rod will be helpfull in vs OctaDragon Eye and Necromances Anubistepp III ( it will faster than use saber's rolling attack, but not too much ). OK, i'm also not sure about the route, maybe train mission-->retrieve data mission ( get the rod )-->find the shuttle mission-->hidden base mission-->factory mission 1 ... is good? with this route, you can only open the main menu one times for weapon change, and i think use rod+saber in vs Heavy Mechaniloid will be better than your WIP, but you'd better do some test at first. Finally, keep working on this please, i'm very curious how much time will be cost in a TAS!

Hmmm, i think that the Triple Rod will help a lot against the Train Engine Core, so maybe i should look for it from the beginning. Or maybe i should do a mission that doesn't require Air Rolling Slash, so i can do it with ganeshariff, or maybe, i can get it in the stage of the Retrieve Data mission, before the boss.

Gigafrost 's way in vs the Train Engine Core will be better ( also, it can be improved a lot ), you can find the WIP here:http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2504&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=100
