Holy cats, I leave my apartment for a day (to go to the Maker Faire), and a run gets submitted, argued over, and gruefooded before I get back? I agree, that seems overly fast. If nothing else, people who don't visit the site on the weekends should have an opportunity to comment. This was on the workbench for only a smidge over eight hours. EDIT: I missed the fact that this submission was cancelled by its author, not gruefooded by a moderator. My sincere apologies. The rest of the original post continues below. Unfortunately, I can't myself watch the movie; a pity, because it sounds like the kind of thing I've been asking for -- a demonstration tournament video that shows what each player in the game can do when controlled by a TASer. The extent to which that description is achieved appears to be up for debate, though... SDR: for future reference, there are ways to overcome the "maximum keys pressed" limit. SNES9x should have an "auto-hold" feature which will make the emulator record a key as pressed until you tell it to stop. Alternatively, you can also bind several controller buttons to the same key on the keyboard.

Wait, this excellent movie got bad criticism, did what was asked and didn't got any CHANCE of being published? Someone should un-cancel this

It was the author that canceled it. Take it up with him in a PM.

Its funny how whether you aim for entertainment or speed fighters still get so many red flags for the reason of having chosen entertainment or speed. I'd say such division lowers the value of no votes. SDR, raise your self steem a bit and let the topic run its course next time so you can get more feedback, you cancel too quick. I enjoyed it, but I didn't like Dee Jay's turn for once, and too many computer fights, those parts where the fighters were dancing capoeira were fun (er, face to face, attacking but not connecting). Its true there are many buttons on the keyboard that can't be held but there are some, ESDF plus numpad for instance, then use your gamepad for the other player.

I actually have been a fan of SDR's previous Street Fighter runs, but this one didn't thrill me as much as the others. Still played well, but stylistically not as impressive. I have to give points for the two-player matches on the grounds that I would have no idea how to ever put those together, and can only assume they were just as difficult to choreograph as I imagine them to be, if not moreso.
Kirby said so, so it must be true. ( >'.')>

I liked watching the movie, but I believe a more interesting result is possible. I don't know the reason for the cancellation btw. Also not sure about how to compare to other TASses of the same game

This should definately not be a limitation in a TAS

I apologize for my earlier post. The insinuations I made were not warranted. I guess that shows what I get for writing a post when I'm physically and mentally exhausted.

If I may make a suggestion: Use the forums more. Don't just keep making and submitting runs like it's a clockwork thing.

Well, since arcade movies are now submittable, maybe you should use the original arcade version...

Yeah, TASers should now use Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, which features: A juggle system (combo enemies in the air but it's quite limited, therefore making the game not broken). Super Moves And i some tweaked moves like Ryu's Air Med Punch is now an upper fist used to juggle. I don't really know the difference used in the Hyper 15th Anniversary edition other than changing styles like 'Champion' Sagat vs 'Super T' Balrog.

I'm not sure what's wrong with this run. The Player vs. CPU battles are marginally less entertaining but in my eyes this is definitely publishable as it had me giggling through most of it. A fighter with more moves available would make for a funnier TAS. I can't wait until Street Fighter III is available. The amount of expression the character's moves have is amazing. This could be exploited to make a very entertaining movie.

Rapaz, usa o Final Burn Alpha pra fazer um TAS do Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Além de ser a versão "de verdade" do SF, tem mais coisas para impressionar (Super COmbos, golpes que o pessoal já falou, etc) Use the Final Burn Alpha to make a TAS of Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Its the real version, and have other stuff (like super combos)

Much better than the previous efforts I'll give it a 'yes' vote.
I don't see how it could be better than the previous one, looks like the same to me, so NO to you man.
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.
