rerecording DS games is available via DeSmuME. Currently it is through an experimental beta branch available here.

How many MBs of virtual memory does it require to launch? I have no luck even with 1024MB...
<klmz> it reminds me of that people used to keep quoting adelikat's IRC statements in the old good days <adelikat> no doubt <adelikat> klmz, they still do

Anyone who was having trouble with high memory usage should re-download from the link in the first post.

OH MY GOD IT'S FINALLY HERE! The DS is my favorite console since the SNES. They both have the same controller and a ton of really good 2D games. Sign me up! Serious question here. So unlike everyone else I know, I actually bought DS cartridges. Is there any way for me to easily dump them so I can get started? Obviously I could find roms if I wanted to. But I'm afraid that the roms floating around the Internet have the anti-piracy measures hacked out of them. And I don't want to TAS modded games. <- so excited! :D

No-Intro DAT matching ROMs are as pure as they can get.

Is there any way to change the button mapping. I don't really like the default

Here's a test I did of Pokemon Platinum. There are few mistakes. Please note that I'm new to TASing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJ39Q9V7DZI

Yes. Config menu. Control config for game controls. Hotkey config for special keys (like frame advance). Any emulator that doesn't support button mapping is a stupid one. :P

Hmm, this thread is redundant to the emulator forum and causing some confusion as the comments are getting split between two threads. I mainly put this here to announce to people that DS rerecording is possible and what emulator they can use. I am locking this thread.
