If I get better at TASing, I could start a low% TAS, but I don't know, if I have the patience to ever finish it anybody keen on doing it together with me?

I don't get it... why is there tons of action with majoras mask, but no action here. Come on. This game is better than Majoras mask. (sorry for doublepost)

And I don't get why there is more action here than in the Super Mario 64 thread. Each of us has his favorite game, just stop it.

Does this count? Discussion seemed to indicate the old way would still be faster for a TAS..

Synx, most users only post when there is new information relevant to the run. This run will not be done for months, you may not see another update for weeks or over a month. (MrGrunz just happens to bring a lot to discuss recently in the Majoras Mask thread.) Feel absolutely free to follow discussion, comment on discussion, ask questions, or provide your own discussions, but asking for progress and bumping are somewhat frowned upon (and annoying to read through) unless there hasn't been discussion in weeks.

maybe there was a lot of stuff left to discover, that got discovered in the last month? the game is on a new level of beeing broken now ;) we're also planning the new TAS route, but new tricks for MM are discovered daily at the moment ;)

Curious, if you get out of forest without sword, do DoT skip, become adult(now you have a sword!), then go back to childhood, your still unarmed right?(like why the hell would the programmers even check for a sword, but whatever). And what about the Deku stick? can that provide a limited replacement for sword?

Temple of Time, you need the sword or a deku stick on B (and the latter is impossible without a sword) for the DoT skip because C-button deku sticks don't work in ToT.

you could get to adult swordless with by beating all temples with deku stick instead of sword. then you could open DoT and can get adult you get kokiri sword on B if you travel back in time, although you became adult without a sword, if I remember right ;)

does that deku nut skip work with deku stick? And you get to skip the sheild. Just find a way to do DoT skip without sword.

Does anyone know if you can do this on other mini-cutscenes? Is there anything else in the game that is like the crawling sequence? Maybe coming out of certain buildings or something. Edit: Also, If I head toward certain places, the game either starts to freak out and change camera angles, or basically, put me into a statis, where I'm frozen and can't move and it is set to a fixed angle. This happened while I was trying to get to the Deku Tree area.

Thanks - you can use deku sticks on C in all other temples? (I'm not actually an expert, I just figured I'd answer since I read the discussion :) ) Edit:

I fail. It's not impossible, it just takes longer than getting the sword would:

Getting a Deku Stick on the B button (part of Bottle Adventure) Once the rod is stolen from the fishing game and Link has finally exited the pond the next stage is to go into the lake with the rod, climb out pause and unpause the game and the Deku Stick will now be on the B button. Trying to use the Deku stick as adult Link will cause the game to freeze.
