He threw insults at onReload who "insulted" him, but it doesn't matter, it has no place here.
About the luck you say you had, it's hard to believe it would happen on a perfect mario64+n64 set. Perhaps it was a crooked cartridge thing, which can potentially generate the same effect as any GS code.
im'd me for whatever reason as i might as well throw this on the drama pile
krohn7master: Hello
onReload: hi
krohn7master: I find your response hilarious
krohn7master: "He also failed to address SL's suggestion about playing pre-made footage (i.e. gameshark/tas'd stuff that he TV-out'd to his TV.) We don't hear the insane tapping of the A button and we certainly don't see it."
krohn7master: Did you even watch the video
krohn7master: ?
onReload: yeah
onReload: you're driven to prove this but it doesn't even make any sense, you haven't done the basic thing which is to first walk into the water, have mario swim ,then do your little trick and have him walk underwater
onReload: you showed that you were using a 3rd party controller and you left the camera on it for about half a second if even that much
onReload: nothing showed it was autofire
onReload: and i don't care
onReload: because you still have to prove something
onReload: and you haven't
onReload: which is what i already typed
krohn7master: What is it that I have to prove?
krohn7master: I've already proved everything I can
onReload: first walk into the water, have mario swim ,then do your little trick and have him walk underwater...but even then you could still have a code activated on the fly, and no you have not proven everything, you haven't shown anybody an m64 file
onReload: which shows inputs and other details
krohn7master: The thing is it that, there is no way I could ever pull off the walking under water trick again
krohn7master: That happened out of nowhere
krohn7master: and I have tried it over and over, and it never works
krohn7master: I would of done that by now, but I can't.
onReload: what about people talking about your walking on slopes?
onReload: like walking down a slope that would normally have you slide right off
krohn7master: So..what? I need to make a proof video of me doing those?
onReload: no because again there's always a possibility that you're not using a clean method
onReload: which is why the m64 has been brought up again and again
krohn7master: yeah
onReload: standing on a slope the way you did should be a lot easier than flying into the water without swimming
krohn7master: I would happily make the m64'
onReload: uh huh
krohn7master: but i am having problems
onReload: yeah
onReload: and the triforce is in ocarina of time
onReload: if you learn the 8th sages' song
krohn7master: lol
krohn7master: of course
krohn7master: Hahaha
krohn7master: Thats like saying the sky is green or something
onReload: yes it is
krohn7master: I've never even played OoT and I still know all those rumors are fake
onReload: that's my point
onReload: it's as fake as your trouble with mupen and walking on slopes and going underwater
onReload: so just go to school
krohn7master: I'm in school right now :P
krohn7master: it kind of reminds me of that rumor where Mew is under the truck in those original pokemon games
onReload: yeah
onReload: the triforce rumor was a big big thing on internet forums back when ocarina was out
onReload: the girl got email spammed to her even after admitting that it was fake
krohn7master: I don't get why it's such a big deal, its a freakin video game
onReload: you kind of fueled the argument
krohn7master: Anyways
krohn7master: I know you guys want an m64
krohn7master: and I will get it as soon as I can
krohn7master: I won't lie..
krohn7master: But what I don't understand is why people think the proof video I made is fake too
onReload: watch some of the youtube links one guy posted
onReload: faking shit is really easy
onReload: and you could have a modded n64 or cart with a gameshark hardware in it or all kinds of things
krohn7master: Oh what the hell? Are you serious, dude.
krohn7master: DO you really think I'd take something like this THAT far
it went on

There's no reason to bring that discussion here. It's a thread to discuss mario 64 TAS and techniques. krohn already said it was accidental, so if he's saying the truth then it's either a bug nobody can yet explain or a badly placed cartridge. We have already analised it to the extent of our knowledge and it doesn't seem to be a bug we know. So he has the best chances to teach us how to reproduce it.
If he's lying then we don't do anything and the story ends here. Case closed.
Yes, the conversation itself doesn't really present damming evidence (if any). Not that there is still a lot of unanswered questions. Although I will admit that I believe krohn is deliberatley stalling by not trying to recreate what he's done on on a .m64.
EDIT: I will give you give you 2 weeks starting from Tommorow to prove what you did on a .m64.
This guy follows the patterns of liars pretty well, he get's angry easily when poeple don't believe him and "forgets" to address the important questions to instead focus on minor stuff.
If he was truthful he would've already done some more proof vids/m64 by now instead of trying to convince everyone that the one already up is completely real. Also if i'm not completely mistaken, he'll quote most of this post soon and write about how ignorant i am.
Demonstrate's video pretty much already proven this guy is fake unless he can create the exact same effect as gameshark has without gameshark which is beyond unlikely.
How about just ignoring him?

This whole situation reminds me of an incident that happened to me back in middle school. Someone I sat with claimed that you could gain access to a few more worlds by jumping into the waterfall outside the castle and landing in a cannon that was supposedly hidden inside. I tried many times, asking him about particulars, and each time it was different, with the process changing or new details being added. Eventually I invited him to my next birthday party for the sole purpose of having him prove it. He refused to take the controller on the basis of, "It's really hard to do!"
Yeah.
(keep in mind we were 11/12 at the time)
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.
the following would be a good test i think:
1) find RAM locations and cheats for mario X, Y and Z locations
2) find values for X, Y, Z that are in front of the castle moat door (find these while water is lowered so height for standing-on-ground is ok)
3) stand on solid ground with the water raised on a new file
4) rotate mario so that he would be facing the door
5) pause emu
6) activate X Y Z cheats with the found values
7) continue emu
Could someone try this idea in both standing state and "smashed into the floor" state.
If we start swimming instead of opening the door in both cases this rules out numerous possibilities.
Indeed it's convincing that the video was done using that cheat, but the videos also suggest to me that the door is fully functional :)
I still think it may be possible to use the door if mario moves from standing-on-ground to be-in-front-of-door in 1 frame (which could be tested using GS)
If you need me to test anything else, just tell me. It doesn't take long to record a video and upload it.
If you can also run an emulator then the following would be a good test i think:
1) find RAM locations and cheats for mario X, Y and Z locations
2) find values for X, Y, Z that are in front of the castle moat door (find these while water is lowered so height for standing-on-ground is ok)
3) stand on solid ground with the water raised on a new file
4) rotate mario so that he would be facing the door
5) pause emu
6) activate X Y Z cheats with the found values
7) continue emu
Well, when I said about testing something, I sort of meant on the N64 with GS, since anyone has access to an emulator. For one, I don't know to how to do that, and two, it sounds like someone who has experience with RAM locations in Mario 64 should take a look at. A few pages ago, there was one post about a RAM location of something, so I'd ask that guy. If you want me to record something using my N64, I'd be willing to do that.
"I think we can put our differences behind us... for science, you monster."

Oh, I meant the blj on the blue slope in the lobby, not the walk under water thing. Sorry for making it unclear.

I think he insulted you, swear some more and tell him that he has no life. That ought to do the trick.
Hahaha
I do admit I have been pretty insulting...sorry I did that, won't do it again.
Finally, I really am done with this crap, and I think you guys are too...all what is getting done is flaming and flaming.
I have provided you guys the proof I have, and I am done with making anymore. I am sorry I can prove anything else.
If you guys think I used a GameShark..fine by me, I don't really care.
I proved as much as I can, and I do not have anymore time to sit and argue and create a mupen movie.
Sorry to disappoint.
I'm not taking sides, but everyone's attitude has been pretty terrible. I feel like I'm reading the Super Metroid thread from months back where someone posted a video of an impossibly quick time at the beginning section of the game and then someone else posted a video showing that it's easy to fake that time in an out-of-context video. Plenty of nasty forum posts ensued. I think that story had a happy ending to it though and now that area can be beaten even faster than the at-the-time-ridiculous first video.
In any case, there was no proof in that situation until the input recording format* started from power-on was used as proof because as has been said before, videos prove exactly nothing.

The only use I remember was pressing it to get 99 coins. It's possible that any code could be modified to be activated when the button is pressed.
Not only that, it's possible that any code can be modified to be activated when ANY button of your choice on the controller is pressed. You don't need to press the GS button in that case.

Perhaps you should be sorry to those whose hope you preyed on.
<adelikat> I am annoyed at my irc statements ending up in forums & sigs
You DO know what pre-recording IS, right? record you using the gameshark and then cut out the bits showing the gameshark logo etc. and adding that cheated part into your video collage. How does prerecording instantly mean you did not record yourself tapping the buttons? you were there, playing it with a cheat on, of course you needed to press buttons, of course the sounds were recorded.
Anyways, since...
1) you said you can't repeat the trick (said this numerous times)
2) you repeated the trick numerous times in Mupen64
3) claim to be able to make a movie but making excuses so you don't need to share it. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF IT LAGS! YOU ARE RECORDING KEY INPUT, IF YOU DO IT WHILE RECORDING THEN UPLOAD THE FILE. (he speaks as though he is making an avi)
