Actually, the Move Tutor appears after you defeat the Elite Four.

Might be interesting to show a triple run. Is that even possible? I mean, to have 3 runs doing similar things with each run catching game-specific pokémon and trading them so in the end one game would have 250 pokémon. But it would really be a triple run, with a red or blue version helping out. I heard of a glitch where you trade a glitch pokémon from red or blue to gold or silver and it becomes a pokémon. I tried it and got a Tyrannitar!

Here's a thought for a new TAS: Catch Raikou, Suicune or Entei. They're all at level 40, and can be luck-manipulated, so it would be a good headstart compared to Graveler at level 25ish.

The problem is that they can only be found (in the grasses) after you have woken them up in Ecruteak City.
Which run should I encode next? :)

There's a few problems: first of all, it requires quite a detour; second of all, you have to fight a trainer or two (including your rival).

I thought about it for a long time before but decided it was not worth it. Suicune has HM support but has the worst attacking stats of the 3. The others don't have HM support. Also, you have to learn Rock Smash, fight two trainers to release them, then manipulate the one you want into the nearest grassy area, get to it, and get them to show up, and manipulate its DVs.

Would anyone be willing to undertake the challenge of luck-manipulating a 20,000-to-1 chance of catching the wild Geodude with Pokerus? Apparently, it'll do a lot for Geodude's stats, so a run using it would be able to be a couple minutes faster.

I did some calculations, and oddly, any legendary dog would end up at level 63* anyway, because they're so slow in gaining levels. I believe Pokémon Gold is a run that will never be obsoleted. *EDIT: The level that Graveler finishes at.

Admittedly there are potential improvements, but the size and complexity of the game makes it unlikely anyone would want to work on it for months for an improvement of 1-2 minutes.

That's not so much of an excuse not to try. I suspect this run could be improved by much more than 1-2 minutes, and that alone just through manipulation. Route or strategy changes could also be found to be beneficial. If I knew this games even half as well as the previous generation, I might be inclined to give it a go.

If you had read this page at all:
Requirements:To do this glitch you must met a few requirements. You must have beaten the Elite four. You must have a box in Bill's PC that isn't full. You must have a Sneasel that knows Beat Up as its third move (Sneasel learns Beat Up at level 57).

That's the one part of the glitch I don't understand. The "bad clone" that later becomes ????? #000 acts exactly like Q or Charizard 'M did in R/B/Y. That glitch didn't require the E4, so why should this one?

According to the description, this cannot be done until after the Elite Four, when the Pokemon you used can easily beat most opponents in Kanto. It also requires cloning many times, which takes a long time. I didn't know this glitch though, so thanks for bringing it up.

How do I make it so the clock only runs when I'm playing. I wouldn't mind so much but technically running the game would be a single segment. Does the real time clock option do that? I had the problem before I turned it on but it doesn't sound like it will fix it, since I don't want a real time clock...

Well, the clock is a real-time 7-day 24-hour clock, not a timer. There is a gameplay timer (shown whenever you save or continue), so use that one. It only displays down to the minutes. By the way, the issue of gameplay timers (or lack thereof) should never stop you from doing runs of games. Edit: Sorry, misunderstood you. I assume you don't want to submit a run to SDA. If you want to segment a run, wanting to stop the clock is not really something you should aim for. Unless you want to make the clock process appear single-segment, in which case you must use emulator savestates.
