(really, there's no apparent logic in them)

EDIT: After beating it I had nothing better to do, so I fixed the game...
You can save this one to your HD and run in full screen (what is much more comfortable)

Yeah. Unfortunately, the speed of the mouse cursor, when you use trackpoint, does not depend on the speed of your hand movement, but on the degree you tilt the trackpoint tip; and that has a maximum velocity, and it gets very inaccurate when you tilt it a lot.
So yeah. This was an issue also in a certain room in Lineage.
But trackpoint has its advantages, especially when you have to maintain a continuous motion, such as in FPS games. No running out of table space and having to scoop the table over and over again.

This one is Windows, and I don't think any control panel can overcome physical limitations -- specifically, that moving the cursor gets more inaccurate the more you tilt the tap. With mouse, you can easily control where exactly you want your hand to stop ― you can prepare the entire motion from start to end without need for high reaction time, whereas with the tap, you will have to tilt it to a certain direction, and then stop tilting the tap exactly 0.05 seconds later or so, and push the button; if you stop at the wrong moment, the cursor has already missed the point.
With mouse, it is a problem of "location" that must be done fast enough. With trackpoint, it is a problem of "timing" and timing only. Superficially similar, but not really the same.
EDIT: Allright, I completed it using the touchpad instead :) Now in 12 10...

Needed help on 10, but was able to solve everything else on my own. Some of them were very obvious, whereas stages like 19 just seemed tedious for the sake of being so.

I only needed help for 8 and 10. 10 frustrated me because I tried something at one point that should have been correct, but must not have done it quite correctly.
It vexes me.
In retrospect, I shouldn't have looked. Its all doable enough that if I had an ounce of patience I should have been alright.

Well, completed all the stages in the key game... the final stages were VERY frustrating though (so easy, a joke really)... and stage 13 is the worst thing ever.
Now I'll try the star game.
