I found the PS1 Mega Man games to be quite unenjoyable when compared to their predecessors. The slightly overhead perspective is simply unsuitable for a series that is dependent on precise platforming. The games are also riddled with numerous other bonehead design decisions, with X5 and X6 being the worst offenders. I haven't even bother finishing most of the games.

Didn't you start a thread about how you hate some speedruns? Or that some aspects of speedruns suck? And if I remember correctly, that ballooned up to 8 or 9 pages of worthless bickering. At least this thread doesn't make you dumber by reading it.

Arguably you could expand that exact sentence even further:
Like I said, *everything* sucks (at least on someone's opinion). No exceptions.
If we assume that everything sucks because somebody might hate it, why even fucking bother with this kind of thread in the first place? Oh right, because not everybody's opinions are the same. What a fucking concept. My dislike of Warp is growing steadily...

"Your personal most disappointing not-funguy10 forum member" I'm sure that would be a civil discussion :)

Dear Fabian, I was a little disappointed in your post. I think it could have been a bit more clever. No hard feelings, alden

Dear Fabian,
 I agree with Alden.

I loved X4 to pieces. X5 and X6, however, can go rot in hell, or wherever horribly designed and executed games go to die. X6 at least had some nice music, though.
Kirby said so, so it must be true. ( >'.')>

IMO you are comparing apples to oranges. Compare to: "What's your least favorite game?" -> Useless thread. "I think TASes would be much better if..." -> Might actually be useful if the suggestion is good. I could demonstrate how useless these "what's your least favorite" (or whatever) threads are by starting 30 of them at once, but I think I'll skip that. You will not get the point anyways. Why do I think this thread is useless? As I said, *everyone* hates most sequels. There's no new info here. All the posts just repeat what millions of other forums have already been full of every time a new sequel to something pops up. Why repeat all that here? What's the use? However, something like "which movie would you recommend?" could have the potential of being a much more useful thread because it might actually inspire someone to watch a movie he hasn't seen before, for example.

Y'know, even discounting the flamewar, this thread's gotten a good 3+ pages of discussion on it, and it's not just postcount++ stuff either. I think we can empirically determine that it's not useless.

This is not about "Lol every sequels suck = fact" but "Which sequels were the most disappointing", and some sequels are more disappointing than others (All of them aren't even disappointing), for all the different reasons, so this topic is not useless at all.

Yeah, which produces exactly as rational and logical responses as "movie x is the worst movie ever made" (eg. speaking about Transformers).

So why do _you_ think that Transformers is the worst sequel ever? (Is it even a sequel?) Maybe there are others sharing your concern about the movie, or maybe someone is disagreeing with you. And if you don't care about what other people find to be the worst sequels ever, then simply ignore the topic :)

Guys please respect the thread. You're supposed to be discussing things like why 102 Dalmations sucks compared to 101 Dalmations or why Mammoth Hunters and Plains of Passage suck compared to Clan of the Cave Bear and Valley of Horses or why The Dark Knight sucks compared to Batman Begins ISO or why Metroid Prime sucks balls or why the forum sucks compared to a year ago compared to a year ago or why 1503 AD sucks compared to 1602 AD or why Middle/Junior high school sucks compared to elementary school or why the last Harry Potter books sucks compared to all the others or why Fabian sucks lol! Cardboard, Warp was referring back to some post about Transformers where some guy said it's the worst movie ever or something and Warp didn't understand the concept of exaggeration and/or why it was used. Warp, a discussion doesn't have to be useful to be interesting. A discussion does not have to be useful to you to be useful to someone else (see emoticons). Let it go.

Dear jimsfriend, I'm a bit disappointed in your unusual show of clarity and forthrightness. Please go back to non sequiturs in the Off Topic forum. Thanks, alden

I was going to say that giving X the ability to duck partially redeemed X5, but then I remembered Squid Adler's stage.

That stage screwed me up so much, because I never even anticipated that X could duck. The down button was for those very rare occurances where you needed to climb down a ladder, and for menu navigation. Use it to crouch? Inconceivable? And then I died over and over again to attacks that couldn't be avoided except by ducking.

Heh, I loved the ducking. I have never played mega man games, but I bought the X series for GCN. It came naturally to me that X could duck, but 1-4 blew me out of the water, as I tried to duck but couldn't! That was the one thing missing from the mega man games, and would have made them all better, I think. 'Course now I am making all the nostalgic fans of no ducking mega man games mad XD

Agreed. But swarmed by naysayers, we are silent. Yeah, I know I just broke the Deathly Hallows oath, but I blame Fabian.

IMO you like to write a lot without actually saying much. I still can't understand why people seem to think that just because something isn't exciting/engaging/new to them, that it's the exact same way for everyone else. Stop being so egocentric and try actually seeing things from other people's point of view. Or, if that isn't possible, just let other people be happy with their "pointless" conversations, and don't post just to criticize.

Another movie that is added onto the list would have to be the Mummy 2. I sat through most of it, but, dammit, was it bad. Nothing compared to the awesome that is The Mummy (1).
