I have a .fcm file. I would like to play that .fcm file up to a certain frame (not necessarily at a save state), then start recording new inputs at that frame. Is this possible? If it's not possible to branch an old movie from an arbitrary frame, then here's a simpler question: can I add on to the end of an old movie and make it longer? If so, how? I'm trying to do a TAS but I'm finding it very awkward to use only save states until the entire movie is complete. I'd like to be able to replay the partially completed movie from time to time, then keep adding to that movie or branch the movie from the middle if something at the end of the movie is wrong.

I make a comic with no image files and you should read it. While there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free. -Eugene Debs

Another way to do it is by checking the "Stop movie at frame" box under the Replay Movie window, and then enter the frame you want to resume recording from. Also, make sure you have "Open Read-only" unchecked. When the movie reaches the frame you've entered, it will automatically pause. This can be useful if you want to resume recording from a frame which you don't have a savestate on.
