Lol I think AKA saying that my TASing isn't as polished as he and SL implies that I need polishing, which is helpful in this situation. He deserves that recognition and some more rightfully anyway so lets not worry about it haha

While I respect it may have had some helpful aspects to it, these seemed more indirect and could have been supplanted directly with something along the lines of "I would suggest that you go back and polish some parts such as <this> and <that>". Ego sucks, mmkay?

If Bloobiebla continues at this level of optimisation and actually decides to finish it, I think rejection is out of the question.

That's very reassuring thanks hah, although I would understand why it would get rejected since it is a separate unneeded category. It was a personal desire to see how fast the run goal could possibly be accomplished but it would be awesome to have it online in some way when I finish. Also I think the level of optimization will only get better so we don't need to worry about it getting lazy or full of errors

The thing is will the run use RBA and ToT skip, since if not you'll have to meet Zelda anyway. Although its not clear cut what method is faster, but the bombchus in the well must be taken into consideration. EDIT: Now I think about it you need the Requiem, so going to the Spirit would be faster.

Even if it does get rejected I'd be surprised if it isn't encoded and uploaded to google video or perhaps linked to in the OoT description. In any case keep up the good work (that I'm hearing about) I'll watch your WIPs when I get a chance.

The thing is, it isn't really unneeded if it shows the game in a much different way than the other movie. LttP, Super Metroid, and Umihara Kawase have other runs with different goals that were accepted. The only reason I could possibly see this rejected would be for unclear goals. What you should do now is decided exactly what is acceptable and what isn't in terms of glitching. Then follow those rules and note them in the submission to clearly define the category of run this is.

Well the goals are all stones/medals and all Ganon wings completed. Glitchwise, I don't think anything will be unacceptable since I obviously won't be cheating. The run starts from the very moment of turning on the game, and the quality obviously isn't an issue.

What about RBA? It can be used for some medals but I don't think you intend to use it. Using it for some things but not others seems odd. (Although I would understand why) You should clarify the run's stance on RBA as well.

what about out of bounds glitches? Will those be used in the run? Cause once again such a thing can skip lots of sections of dungeons and what not, which is why it's possible to skip all of wings of Ganon's Castle.

Yeah I will use out of bounds, I have already used it in the Deku Tree. The only other significant OoB glitches I will be using that I can think of off the top of my head is the Forest Temple boss key skip and megaflipping past King Zora. Whatever optimal glitches I can use that don't involve skipping dungeons/temples/trials will be used.

So you lost all of Sami's Banjo Kazooie vids too? Damn shame. Watched the WIP. It was as good as everyone said it would be. I'm not sure about a separate publish for it, but maybe a link to the main movie the same way with Super Lameoid, with both real-time and in-game time's movie files attached (back when they weren't two separate publishes).

why not a seperate publication? 100% vs any% we have those all over the site. 100% being defined here as all temples completed and all Wings of Ganon's Castle. As opposed to all items and gold skultulas and blah blah omg thats too much crap.

Haha yeah if I would have kept going any furthur and then jumped the fence, I would be in the vicinity of that damn owl hiding in the tree. There would just be 3 categories: any%, all temples, and then 100%. Much like how ALttP has the long and short version. The goals should be fairly clear. Completes all dungeons and the 6 trials in Ganon's Castle. You can do whatever you like, as long as you do the above. At least that's how I see it. anyways, loved the WIP. I would have no problem with it being published if the rest of the run is like that. About the route...are you sure you can megaflip past King Zora? Also, how do you plan to get back to Hyrule castle after JJB?

I absolutely agree. I'm still waiting for the avi, btw. If anyone decides to encode it, it would be much appreciated.
