ノーセーブノーダメージBIG BOSSプレイ。メタルギア2を極めたプレイです。VAMP戦がメチャクチャ笑えますよ。(^o^) Metal Gear Solid 2 beaten on "Extreme" difficulty in under 2 hours. This is one of the best speedruns ever made and shows amazing skill by the player, Takeshi. It was originally lifted from わいわい芸夢館 <http://homepage3.nifty.com/shin3/>, a Japanese speedrun site. Some interesting facts about this run: extreme difficulty, no damage, no saving, no killing, no radar. Part 1/15: start of "tanker" chapter, battle with Olga http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSJguEjH6mA Part 2/15: fight with soldiers on deck 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X-ejiJ2Dxs Part 3/15: start of "plant" chapter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STF482o8ViI Part 4/15: freezing bombs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAtzsVpQwho Part 5/15: freezing more bombs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZ31KiGFXjU Part 6/15: battle with Fortune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kciND2jK2tU Part 7/15: battle with Fatman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eqd8WZPtgHw Part 8/15: infiltrating Shell 1 Core http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuwM4VWyxVE Part 9/15: battle with Harrier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8kzthxuTQQ Part 10/15: battle with Vamp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20FwAAz_mro Part 11/15: Strut L Oil Fence, second battle with Vamp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E8MJxKGfkU Part 12/15: infiltrating Arsenal Gear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuQ1kfJJ30w Part 13/15: fight with soldiers in Arsenal Gear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tJoBh1H3SU Part 14/15: battle with Metal Gear RAYs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6njdEmOP6MQ Part 15/15: battle with Solidus Snake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A609cXv5skM (I uploaded these videos because this speedrun is amazing, and I bet that few people have seen it because it's not on SDA.)

Didn't Lucid Faia beat that run by some considerable margin?

After a whopping 45 seconds of research:
  • Lucid has no records for MGS2.
  • The current SDA run is held by Cody Miller.
  • The SDA run specifically states, the run is "not meant to compete with Big Boss runs like Takeshi's"

Does anybody know where a copy of this can be found? You can't see a damn thing on Youtube.

It's a pointer format allows you to stream .wmv files in windows media player. Open them up in notepad or some other plaintext editor and you'll see the video file URL in there if you want to download it to your computer.

EDIT: Of course you may make the argument that its not actually on the site but it proves the point that its far from being unbeatable.

This is one of my more favorite speedruns, just because of all the contributing factors that made it awesome. If you thought the boss fights were good in the speedrun, you should see the individual boss fights, they're pretty much insane.

While I do see the note that it's theoretically improvable, this run still kicks ass. It just boggles the mind how he can pull off all of the shit in here that he does. Now if there was only a higher quality version of this...

There isn't, unfortunately. The WMV files aren't particularly better than the YouTube versions. They're a little better, I guess, but not much.
