AngerFist, where in the modding handbook does it state you should be treating people differently (=unfairly) based on who's an idiot dumbass and who is smart? It seems like kind of a weird approach to me, certainly not the way I would expect a good mod to act.

So adolf, what you're saying is Saturn is humble and encouraging EXCEPT when he's condescending and disencouraging?
I'm saying that he is encouraging (though perhaps not very humble) as long as he does not fell threatened. Meaning, if someone makes something pretty impressive he uses all sorts of kind words but if someone makes something incredibly impressive he tries to in any way possible to make people still think he is the greatest.
I'm not protecting this behavior.

Maybe others do but I have no real hard feelings for Saturn, I even tried to gently ask him how his Ceres time might have been possible a few months ago, its a shame really, because he's put himself in a position where he's too scared to show anything because he feels people might be able to somehow pick holes in it.
I wasn't going to post anything in the SM thread, but since this is now off-topic, I'll go ahead and say that as a bystander, I am also really dissapointed in Saturn's post.

For what it's worth AngerFist I honestly think you have a much bigger problem with me than I have with you, and I'm guessing you would agree with that. The only problem I have with you are a few judgment calls I haven't agreed with and (especially) your unwillingness to discuss them or take anything I say seriously. All in all I don't think it's that big a deal, whereas you make long somewhat ranty posts about how terrible my attitude is and then deleting any response I make.

Hey guys, he's still a good person despite his little ego problems. Just because he's made a statement that really takes the piss doesn't mean we should have a discrimination against him. So maybe he had never gotten 49'17, or even a 49'15. It's not like anyone else would have gotten it, he's not any worse than JXQ or Cpadolf, but the fact that his ego had led people to strive at rubbing this achievement in his face has never been better for super metroid TASing. Let him redeem himself, you guys haven't even given him a chance to apologize
