Ok here's some games that I want to do but don't know which one do people prefer because I don't want to do something that will be hated. So I'm asking which one do you prefer and why. Then which one do you think I should not do and why. So here is the list. On Nes: Double Dragon 2 (redo it since it can be improved) Mighty Final Fight Gradius 2 On Snes: Sim City Ogre Battle Super Adventure Island Final Fight On Arcade: 1944 Battle Circuit Burning Fight Guwange Magic Sword Magician Lord NAM - 1975 Out Zone OverTop Prehistoric Isle 2 The Super Spy Tiger heli ( I don't know if this game has an ending sequence unlike the NES version.) Edit. Removed Adventures of Bayou Billy , Castlevania 3 US and Stargate. Added Final Fight.

Bah, ignore all of them and do Sonic 1 and 2! :D Otherwise, I'd like to see Sim City first.

I would really like to see Bayou Billy since I played and completed that myself. If you have hard to choose, just go for Star Wars for NES. That's the number one game I wanna see a run of. :D

Double Dragon 2 improvement is welcome. Castlevania 3 US isn't needed (except if you want to do a Grant run, but in which case you still need to verify the timing doesn't differ from Japanese version). I recall we have had a Bayou Billy submission in the past, but I can't find anything other than someone requesting it in March 2004.

The beginning of Stargate looks boring to me - the maneuverability of the character is really bad, but maybe it could be interesting later. Adventure Island sounds bad ;). the others could be interesting. As for Arcade, the word is 'meh'.

Yes, a better Double Dragon 2 would definitely be awesome. I agree with Bisqwit on Castlevania 3...make sure the speed isn't any different. I'm not so hot about Gradius 2 and Mighty Final Fight, but they could be pretty fun. Bayou Billy is one I want to see, this game tortured my young self. =) SimCity and Ogre Battle are intriguing. Adventure Island and Stargate, not so much so. As for the arcade games, I don't know some of them so I won't comment. But I would love to see Magician Lord (because it's one of the hardest games I've played) and Magic Sword (with and without warps). -Josh

How will you do the arcade games? Did I miss a meeting? I would like to see Bayou Billy done because the game has a variety of modes. It should make an entertaining movie. Someone made a Magic Sword submission for the SNES. My favorite system ever is the Neo Geo, so Magician Lord and NAM 1975 would be a thrill. I'm very curious to figure out how a NAM time attack would work, as most of the game is auto-scrolling. You don't have to kill any of the "grunts" until you face the boss, although selective shooting would gain you extra grenades and a shooting partner. It would also be important to avoid the "surprise attack" levels which would make the game take longer to complete. I don't know if that's luck manipulation or triggered by something you do/don't do in the game.

Double Dragon 2 should be improved, since you know how to. Gradius 2 would look great as long as it differs enough from the first. Also, I noticed you said the speedboosts don't add quite as much- make sure they are still entertaining. I don't really see why a Grant Castlevania 3 US run should be done if the others have used the japanese version- but I'd love to see a Grant run in that. Sim City would look great. Ogre Battle I'm not quite sure on... it would probably be either really good or really bad, and would take a lot of work. I'd say wait on this one. I think Super Adventure Island would look good, since there are no animals and in my opinion the pterodactyl made the existing adventure island run look a bit boring. I say go for it. edit: Are you specifically listing 1-player games you can do in the time genisto's not around? Because there are a lot of 2-player games that need to be done, but nobody has the ability to do them. My profile lists the ones I'd recommend.

The US version is harder than the japanese version and it will look better when using the "AKAMA" code.

Well, I have never seen this submission before.

Yeah, it's specific to 1 player games. Well I am currently working on Sunset Riders and Battletoads in Battlemaniacs in 2 player game. I think it's enough.

Sim City is one of most anticipated. It'll be an important run because it will help us determine whether runs of simulation games can be entertaining, and can further set the stage for future runs of this type.

Sure, I'm aware of that, but the emulator has no RESET button. How can you create a time attack without recording from a reset? Has it been modified? The version available for download seems to be the same one I downloaded when this news broke in July. I already tried to do a Magician Lord time attack until I got stuck on the lack of a Reset function. See my last post here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9030#9030

Hmm. You can reset with F3. The closest you could come is hitting that then immediately pausing the game, then starting your movie. Still, it really should automatically reset. *shrug* -Josh

I didn't even know that there was a RESET option...it's certainly not in any of the menus. How did you know about it? Can someone add that piece of information to the documentation included with the emulator? The good news is this solves a lot, as pressing F3 is a recordable input. So simply press F3 immediately after beginning to record the input, and the reset will be recorded. Golly, after months of waiting, the answer was simple.

Wow cool, I didn't know myself. It's sad that blip doesn't want to include it. He said to me that this FBA project was over for him when I ask him to implemant it. Maybe he thought it will not be that popular. Anyway, we must not change the subject ;) From now, it's Adv. of Bayou Billy the most popular. I'm gonna wait a little before starting it in case you prefer another game. I will continue Gradius 2 since you doesn't seem to hate it.

Hehe, you're welcome, guys. I just knew there HAD to be a reset button somewhere, and just pressed random keys until I found it. And Bayou Billy and Gradius 2 as the next projects are A-OK by me. =) -Josh

People that want me to do Adventures of Bayou Billy, go vote for this submission. I am waiting 5 positivie vote to publish it. I don't want some "sadomaso" people to complain again, like that Combatribes incident.

Grant plays differently between the US and Japanese versions of Akuden. I would love to see a run of Gradius 2 (my favorite in the series) and Ogre Battle 5 (also my favorite in the series, but in this case I've only played 5 and 7 for any length of time).
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

Well, I never said it will be a Grant run. Anyway, I have decided to not do it at all. :P
