Game

Ninja Gaiden 3 is the third game of Ninja Gaiden. It has a cool name:"忍者龙剑外传" .Ninja Gaiden 3 is different with Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2.In this game,Ninja does not fight with demon but fights with man. This game tells us:we need peace.

Principle

First,we can attack twice in 18 frame ordinarily. But it's two slow.We can attack once and junp ,then we can attack twice. So we can finish two attack in 4-5 frame. Second,if you use back jump, please try press "A" quickly,it can help you movie more long. Third, some place,we can walk in the wall(for example in the stage two). There seems to be no useful bug in Ninja Gaiden 3.

Improvment

I finish 267 frame improvment on basic of TheAxeMan.First thank TheAxeMan's run.
I have done two improvment besides details.
First:Climb. We know if Ninja is on the left od wall, we should press"left+A,right, right, right",then "left+A,right, right, right".Its period is four frame. But if we take advantage of back jumping with "A",we can reduce period. We can press"left+A,right, right+A,left+A,right, right+A",then tts period is three frame.
Second: Manipulates luck.Yes.Ninja Gaiden 3 is a game with much randomness. The coordinate of enemy is different each time.So I can let enemy appear on the place which I want by taking advantage of Manipulates luck even I will waste 1-2 frame, because I can save more frame.

NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. Oh! I also replaced the ROM name.

I definitely enjoy seeing an improvement and this run was enjoyable, but I must admit that I enjoyed TheAxeman's run more. I know his death-teasing was a major part of that. (Good example ; that "sinking room" near the beginning.) I don't think that's necessarily a show-stopper, especially since it's been a year since I voted on one of these things. ^.^;;

This is just weird how much difference between the runs there are, yet, only 4 seconds difference. TheAxeman's run looks kind of leisurely compared to xipo's run. TheAxeman does a lot less killing and performs near-death maneuvers throughout. Xipo's run looks like a typically played TAS, in that it's obvious you'd have to hook the NES to a computer to achieve the results seen. Wall climbing is that way in both videos, but the point seems to be diverted by some eye-candy in TheAxeman's run. Both are good, and you should watch both just to see how different they look when the end result is 4 seconds of difference. Yes vote, because it's obviously quality material, even if it lacks some entertainment trade-offs.

Wondering on one thing. Would killing your last 20 ninja points in Stage 6 save you any frames? Cause it does have to count them down.

I'm surprised that that much time can still be saved in this game. Awesome boss ownage! It would have been nice if the Ninja would have done something more interesting than just jump back and forth after boss fights, but I can live with that. Yes vote.

Nice improvements and entertaining movie overall. I do think it could have been stylistically better in places. But only marginally. I vote yes. Once thing I couldn't figure out was in 6-2A (around frame 29000) why you jumped and landed on the wall at the bottom rather than the peak of the jump. This is done a couple of time and seems to glaring to be an oversight. But I couldn't figure out why it was done.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

I definitely consider this to be a entertaining run. Easy yes vote, excellent work as always. Whats good and different about Ninja Gaiden 3 is that you actually get a chance to see whats going on when you are facing a boss. In Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, the boss fights are usually over within 1-2 seconds.. :)

I'm guessing luck manipulation. But I'd like to know for sure too :)

I was wondering when Scumtron would get around to finishing his run but it looks like he hasn't been around for a while. Your run is great, it looks like you've found quite a few places to improve. I was kinda let down by the lack of showboating in a few places, especially the force-scroll section. One question, on the final boss, first form, why don't you take a hit and jump through him to the wall behind him? Then you could use the wall trick and kill him faster.

Fine job, some really great moments in this run. I love what you did in 5-1B. Just did a frame comparison to my WIP and xipo is one frame faster on a few sections: 1-1A where it costs at least 3 frames in the next section and 7-2B which I had to enter with sub-optimal vertical subpixel position. He's also 3 frames faster in 4-2A which I think there was a good reason for... I do remember those 3 frames had me pulling my hair out though!

Nope, that only wastes time in NG1.

That's because of the squishy floor. Would've been slower to run forward to get in optimal wall-jumping position... except that there's a way around that. ;)

Well, I hope that doesn't stop you from liking my run then. :p

I've been sitting on an 11:12 run since July but just haven't found the time to finish it up. All that really needs done is wasting a few frames in 7-3D to leave with full ninpo and a few other minor tweaks. Hoping to have it up this weekend.

Answered above, but I'll be more specific: In this game, they count down at the same time as Timer ticks, so unless you had more ninja points than time, it wouldn't be a factor.

Finally, a speedrun of a game that tells us that we need peace! I think that this was a great run, since it was really fast packed and well-executed. I've never gotten very far playing this on an actual console, but it was fun to see the levels I've played beaten lightning quick! The levels I haven't seen before were interestingly done and l enjoyed watching them, even though I've never actually played them. Nice work!
