Changed the title, I think this is what you meant by "Midnight Residence", it's the only game which resembles it in GoodGen. However, it's not 2 player. But it might look good nonetheless. It's sort of like a clunky Contra.

I started a timeattack on this game in the early days of Gens. Here are few interesting points : -The sixth slot of the item chamber is random and can be manipulated. -Nitros are a must have. They do massive damge in 8 directions. -The controller setting is an important factor. I'm not sure wich is faster -Don't forget (as i did) the Hold Firing Direction button. This way you can shoot backward while moving foward. -Three way fire is good -There is a glitch in the end of level 3 where you can walk in the sky The main problem with this game that prevents me from doing a run is the level of difficulty. A run in normal mode would be interesting. A run in Very-Hard mode, as this site requires, would be boring. Boss battle gets long and repetitive (as you quickly run out of ammo). With this setting, some places are inevitable death without specific ammo configuration.

I've been working on TAS for this game. Here is a WIP of the first 2 levels. This WIP is 765 frames faster than Shakespeare's submitted movie. I think this game is a very publishable game. It is very similar to Contra (no suprise that I am working on it ;P). Any comments are welcome.

Several questions: Why is there two sets of input for the directions, but not buttons? Also, the differences between difficulties is Boss health? Are you going to be using death as a shortcut, such as in the beginning of level 3, tp jump into the blue tower and use the invincibility to go through, assuming it is faster? Would it be much slower to have 100% kills? It seems like it would add to the entertainment, despite the endless spawnings.

1) I have no idea about the input thing, it has no bearing on the game at least. 2) Yes, the difficulty only affects boss health. 3) I will use death as a shortcut if it is faster. The scenario you mention in lv3 wouldn't make anything faster. 4) I have no desire to do 100% kills. It would likely add a lot of lag in addition to have to stop or turn around to kill things. I think it may be less entertaining overall.

Omg, yeah, I love this game! Would be very nice to see a run of it :) I think, you should kill as many enemies as possible (without losing). This would make the movie pretty cool.
