I've been trying to upload some videos to YouTube, but I'm having a few problems. By the way, I'm using VBA v1.92. I recorded a video on AVI, and when I tried to play it on the Window Media Player, the video runs and plays. I tried to record some more videos on AVI, but, for some reason, the newly recorded videos CANNOT play. I've tried using many different players, but these new videos just cannot play. Now, when I tried recording AVI videos on the VBA v1.8, the one WITHOUT re-recording features, the videos on there play just fine. My real question is this: Is there any way to convert the movie files of v1.92 into the ones that can be played on v1.8 (I realized that I can't play on v1.8 movie files that I recorded on v1.92)? I think that's the only solution to my problem. Unless someone out there has any other solutions. Any help?

Well, IIRC, videos that won't play on Windows Media Player will still play on Youtube. So just upload it. If Youtube doesn't work, just use Google Video.

The problem is that the movie is too big in memory to put on YouTube (I prefer it over Google video). I usually put the AVI file on to Window Movie Maker to decrease the memory size, but, this program can't run it, like Windows Media Player.

The more user-friendly version of Mencoder (not memcoder) is FFDSHOW. You might already have it if you've ever downloaded a codecs pack.

Did you select "full frames - uncompressed" when VBA asked you for the video codec? If so, that is why the avi is so big, might want to try xvid next time.

I have to guess that your error message was 'Windows Media Player cannot play this file' which means your .avi is corrupt. Redownload the emulator and try again with a decent codec like Xvid or x264, but in your case I'd recommend Xvid. Also, if your .avi is corrupt then it won't play on youtube.
