Hate to be double posting.
But, I will try Megaman 1-2-3. I was going to do 4 along with it, but 4 games is a long run. plus 4 is my worst game anyway :P.
If I get a good run of all 3 in a row, Foda said he can upload. :)

I don't give SDA that much importance for me to waste money for that? They could just accept a video of me playing on the emulator, and I CAN give proof that it's not a TAS.
if you wish to submit a tas to SDA you could do so anyway, given enough time, knowledge and foolishness. They're not gods, and about any check they perform on your video data can in theory be faked.
but your webcam-illusion won't last long when someone starts comparing button-presses to gameplay on a frame-by-frame-basis. Unless your webcam runs at 1 fps, 2 colors and 4 pixels, it's pretty solid evidence for action-games. At least as solid as the submitted video data on a DVD.

basically, i could send a TAS on vhs if i wanted, and it wouldn't look like a tas, and it would look like the real thing running[
and i can easily prove that it's not a TAS by shooting this scene: showing the controler, my eyes closed and the TV all in a single shot, and me pressing the buttons 1 by 1 many times showing that it is the real thing, and then, without cutting, start the game. well, this is more proof than many things they accept there.
I could shoot it using my digital camera, but they don't accept bad quality video.
I bet I'm not the only one that gives a damn about it, if they wanted better gameplay they'd get bad quality AVIs too, but that doesn't seem to be what they want.
ANYWAY, here's another one:
Double Dragon trilogy (NES)

Well, I havent gotten past the first 3 seconds of the movie yet, due to rewinding again and again to that woman getting punched in the ovaries by some guy. XD
SDA does not support PIRACY. And it is illegal to play a game in the U.S. on emulator without dumping it yourself. That is the number 1 reason you will never see emulator runs on SDA.
Faking a run by outputting to VHS would not do it, believe me there are enough audiophiles and videophiles on SDA to be able to tell the difference. It would take a ton of work to get the quality the exact same as you would get out of a real console.
I doubt that's the #1 reason. They might say it is, but I guarantee the #1 reason is they don't want someone to submit a tool-assisted run and have it passed as a legitimate speed-run.
Right on.
Followers of SDA can say all they want about piracy being the #1 reason. They are just hiding the truth.
Can't remember the thread, but when SDA wrote the TAS article, Warp claimed (and rightly so) that SDA was trying to hide the real #1 reason, with SDA instead trying to make it look like the #1 reason is the use of copyrighted ROMs (this in an article that should not have anything to do with copyright).
