Considering that there are still issues with N64 TASes, I think it will be a while before Gamecube ones.
Current Projects: TAS: Wizards & Warriors III.

As close as we are to stable and steady GC emulation.

Not as close as we would be if you made effort to learn coding.

Gamecube has at least twice as many good games as N64 but that's not very hard to achieve.

That's about… 10-12? :) Actually, I'd appreciate a list.

Cool, anti-N64 bias in a thread specifically about GC emulation is something I'd like to see more (not).

Seconded. I own around 25 games for the good ol' 64 and love them all. However, to get the topic back rolling (not really), I've never played a GC, so I wouldn't know about how many good games there are to do. But you can be assured, as soon as I find out about a good emulator, I'll be trying them all.

I decided to list the N64 games and GCN games I like. N64 Tier 1 (actually good games): Bangaioh, Rockman DASH (non-exclusive), Mischief Makers, Mario 64, Paper Mario, Pokemon de Panepon, Puyo Puyo Sun (non-exclusive), Star Fox 64, Smash Brothers. Tier 2 (good games in comparison): F-Zero X, Goemon 1 and 2, Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Kirby 64, Zelda 5 & 5.5, Ogre Battle 64 GCN Animal Crossing, Baten Kaitos, Capcom vs SNK 2 (non-exclusive), Chibi Robo, F-Zero GX, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Ikaruga (non-exclusive), Zelda Four Swords, Zelda Wind Waker, MK Double Dash, Rockman EXE Transmission, Rockman X Command Mission (non-exclusive), Paper Mario 2, Puyo Puyo 5 (non-exclusive), the entire Biohazard series (we'll count it as one game that's kind of okay), Skies of Arcadia (non-exclusive), Sonic Mega Collection (non-exclusive), SoCal 2 (non-exclusive), Monkey Ball 1 & 2 (originally exclusive), Smash Bros 2, Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2 (originally exclusive), Wario World, Wario Ware So yeah, there are some good N64 games... but I still don't like the system. Anyway. I'll not derail this thread anymore.

What? This piece of crap should NEVER have been allowed to be called an FF game. I can't believe someone actually liked it.

Instead of going to the more modern game consoles, I perasonally would prefer if TASes were made of the so-called "8-bit computers" such as C64, Amstrad, Spectrum, etc. (I myself would probably start making loads of Spectrum runs if there was a rerecording emulator for it.)

That list is a bit messed up Bangaioh, Rockman DASH, Mischied Makers, Paper Mario, Pokemon de Panepon, Puyo puyo Sub are no way top tier game. F-zero X, Goldeneye, JFG are more qualified to be a top tier games. Anyway in terms of good Gamecube game in no paticular order Tww, Twighlight Princess, Viewtiful Joe 1+2, Pikmin 1+2, Metroid Prime 1+2, Prince of persia 1-3, F-Zero Gx, MKDD, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4, Timesplters 2-3, Monkey ball 1+2, Soul Calibur 2, Smash Bros, animal crossing, Splinter Cell 1-3. They aren't neccesarily ideal for TASing or even strictly exclusives but you see my point.

Check this thread: http://forums.ngemu.com/dolphin-forum/82697-dolphin-x64-dual-core-announced.html To-do list: - Wait for computers to get powerful enough to emulate GCN games at comparable frame rates - Add frame advance support - Add re-recording support - Fix lots and lots of compatibility issues and bugs/glitches I know I'm not the only one who's looking forward to it, but it will take a good amount of time.

My circle of friends actually call it "Friends of Mana" because we think it fits more into the Seiken Densetsu series. But it's still a fun game.
