In the experience I've had with my Rockman & Forte run, I've found that it's still necessary to jump and get some vertical acceleration, although you jump much later. I've found that most of the time, a 3-frame jump as early as will get you over the edge is usually the fastest when going down. It's still only 2 or 3 frames faster than just sliding off though, but get enough jumps like that and it will add up.
It may or may not be the same with the other Megaman games, but there should be some experimentation to determine if sliding off the edge is really faster.

daaaaamn. Why Bisqwit? Damnit we all have been waiting several months now.... I mean I wouldnt give up after working on a timeattack for several months!!
I think you Bisqwit is the only one who can do a great run. Maybe you should ask him to send his latest version or telling you all his new glitches etc so you can obselete the current Rockman2 version. But what a shame (I feel bad for Morimoto and at the same time feel dont understand his logic why he suddenly quits after months of work..)
Guess there was some misunderstanding after all.
Morimoto hasn't given up. He just felt like he had lost his touch when not playing the game for a week or two.
He now estimates the final movie will be 25:30 to 26 minutes long.
I'm sorry for being too hasty.
I dunno angerfist.. that's always been the answer before. why should it be any different now?
But I am seeeeriously glad this is still going, I can't wait.
Bisqwit do you think it is going to be as glitch-tastic as your rockman 1? I've seen a couple movies but its hard to gauge just how much outside the box playing is really going to be there.
It's never been more appropriate.
It's ready when it's ready - if you are not satisfied with this, learn Japanese and post at http://www3.rocketbbs.com/220/soramimi.html :)

When people have asked for more than a year when Morimoto will be finished doing Rockman2 run and you (Bisqwit) have said several times next month, in 3 weeks, after summer, late september etc etc so no I strongly disagree with both you and Zero about your comments. When a guy have worked on a run for more than a year then "it should" remember I said it should be finished soon or doing some final adjustments. And no thank you I dont want to or have the time to learn japanese.
I'm sorry for having given false estimates. But I have also merely copied Morimoto's words (translated).
But the thing is that Morimoto doesn't visit these boards (and he doesn't even understand English).
The last time I asked (20 days ago), the hex editing (to change the order of levels) had apparently been accomplished and he's in the middle of Metal Man level, with Wily levels next.
I don't know more than that.
