by skip I don't mean physically skip the items needed to get 100%, but skip to do things faster and when backtracking get the skipped stuff faster. don't know how much of that can happen...
I ran into a desynch and need to redo, but I encoded my 40 rupee route, all the way up to and inside the shop, 2.7 seconds faster than Guano's. only slight mistakes, I had to wait 14 frames to slash the bush for 3 rupees so that was unavoidable, during sidehopping I made a quick angle adjustment that ended up being 3 frames slower in collecting the blue rupee, maybe need to roll on the stones a little better, besides that, flawless.
Wiki pages anyone can edit, I don't want some nublet coming along and screwing with it (unless that page has editing privileges? I know schtuff.com has editing privileges that I can assign)
Looks good, syncs up on my end with the Rice Plugin. It seems like you are very much so up to the task of the 100% run, that's good. Everything looks tightly optimized. I look forward to more progress (and sub-sequently more frustration towards desyncs).

Big doesn't even describe it. Oot is likely to be 5.5+ hours, MK 64 will likely pass 500,000 rerecords by the time it's done, and JFG is another 3-4 hour long ordeal. If you manage to complete all of these at the same time somewhere in 2009 I'll nominate you for ninja on the spot. Or at least master of dedication.

you and me both, buddy. well, I don't know about JFG and OoT is technically upcoming until a complete TAS route is devised.
why it was desynching so in early in the game I don't know. I was under the impression that MM desynchs frequently, and OoT rarely, so I dunno what the dealio was with that.
Yeah, OoT will be long, MK64 more likely 200,000 rerecords not 500,000, and again don't know what the future of JFG holds since both MK64 and OoT (moreso MK64) have taught me a lot about making perfect TASes. To be honest, JFG is very unoptimal in my eyes.
I am in no position to receive a ninja title. dedication praises I can see, but in no way do I fit the ninja bill.

Eh, in the two years it will take you to complete all of this you may change your mind;) And I may have overestimated the MK rerecords a little, but I don't think by much. It's a massive project. Just like the other two are. BTW, don't forget to actually study some, college is worth graduating ;)

I mentioned this in IRC, but thought it best to post about here; this makes the run so much easier in so many ways. A whole new route does not need to be revised, the existing save warp route can be given TAS changes.
If this gets implemented, what a relief. maybe faster than 5:45 could be achieved.
Yautja, when is your next segment going to come out?

skulltula #92 should be gotten in crossing the haunted wasteland.
Gold Scale should be gotten at fishing pond to skip the silver scale, same with YE's run. same if silver gauntlets are gotten, goron bracelet automatically gotten as well.
I'm going to scan it for other mistakes, but so far looks good. I'm still undecided about Jabu Jabu vs. Dodongo's first, the boomerang really is a handy tool.
Edit: bunny hoods aren't good for speed increases unless the game is MM... I get my games mixed up sometimes.

I disagree completely, the bunny hood's only function was to make you "run like the wind" as the jogger guy says. Although I don't have a RAM value to prove it :-\

I knew it seemed too easy. and thus begins the "this would work perfectly... but oh wait this needs to happen first/differently." ^_^
Oh, and finished getting up to and into the deku tree. (it synchs up perfectly, I checked.) Final time saved: 5.3 seconds. I'm curious if I can save any time inside the tree itself; I have a few ideas/frame savers.

In relation to Gauntlets and Goron Bracelet then sure, if getting the Golden Gauntlets will automatically include them, skip them.
Also, looking back at the route I posted, I think the Mask Sidequest could be left until later. We will have to return to child form at some point and the mask quest could probably be sped up with use of song warps.
Because of this I'll try and write up an adult route and then test run it quickly in real time to make sure it works (rupees and bomb supplies) and give an indication towards time etc.
The mask quest couldn't be done later. There's a glitch in the game that prevents you from getting a certain update (for Deku Nuts, I believe) unless you get the Mask of Truth as a child, first time around. Obviously, it's the update which requires you to show the Mask of Truth to the group of Deku Scubs, but for some reason, if you time travel, the game assumes you already got it.
When doing the skulltula boost through the wall in the deku tree, I'm sure it is faster to swim to the right after the boost, and fall down by leaving the invisible water and then fall back into it and swim under the room instead of swimming along the border of the room like guano did.
Edit: If you don't know what I mean, check out this video:

This is probally the best strategy for getting to the basement, I get the feeling that sideways swimming is that fastest way to move through the water. Also when you fall through the web use a deku stick to richochet off the vines that way a power crouched is preserved for Ghoma.

Main area in the Deku Tree.
A pretty unorthodox way of scaling up to the room, but overall saved 0.75 seconds.
I'll look into the ways of swimming under the level, yeah that has to be faster rather than going around. Will probably also use the deku stick against the wall store the damage and get Goham in 3 crouch stabs. AKA, do you want to fiddle around and see if crouch stabs can be kept for that long from the 2-3-1 room all the wya to Gohma?
I'll also, once I get there, figure out a way to replicate zipping up the ladder in the slingshot room that I have so far been unable to reproduce. (*sigh* if only I was recording when I did it...)
