What game would people most like to see me do next? Here are a few games I've been thinking about: Super Mario Bros. 2 - After seeing Sleepz's video, I have a few ideas for how to improve this, and I think I can beat it by at least a few seconds. Super Mario Bros. 3 - I came up with an idea for a different powerup strategy in world 1, and if it works, it could save a few more seconds. Super Mario Bros. - I don't think 5:07 is possible, but with some extreme accuracy in a few places I think I can improve this by a few more tenths. Mario Bros. - I was thinking of doing a 2 player speed run for this game. The Legend of Zelda - This can be improved by a few more minutes by using a better route and also using Up+A. I hope no one chooses this because it takes a really long time to make. Donkey Kong - This wouldn't take too long to make since the game is so simple, but it probably wouldn't be too interesting to watch. If anyone has any other ideas for me post them here. Anyway, until I get some replies, I'll probably be working on Super Mario Bros. 2.

Why not a Zelda 2nd Quest, if you'd rather not remake the first? Of course, that would take even longer :-þ Aside from that, I'd like to see Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. Score Attacks.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

Zelda would be the one i would like to see the most, but it would probably require the most work as well. I don't think a few tenths of a second in smb1 and a couple of seconds in smb3 would be as entertaining to make me watch them over again since the improvements in those games would be barely noticeable. Seems like smb2 is becoming the next Kung Fu in terms of competition over small time improvments...

That you can instantly save and exit and reappear at the starting location. I would rather see a good run that does not use this though.

Sounds like something I would definitely use when playing normally, if it saves time. I find that perfectly acceptable in a timeattack.

The reason I do kinda not approve of it is that I do not know if it was implemented as a feature or if it is a debugging tool for testing the save system that was left in the game.

Is it mentioned in the instruction booklet?

I think it was not. My memory might fail me though, it was a long time since I read it. :P

Well it seems it's a cheat after all so I disagree using this.

Yet it is, page 15 of my manual, it's a spanish one though maybe it's different from the ntcs version.

If it does, then I stand corrected.

If it is in a manual well it's a legal move then.

At any time, you may end your game. With the sub screen displayed (see Page 17), simultaneously press the A button on Controller 2 and the Control Pad. You can cancel the game by doing this.

Then I see no reason to not use it. (Though maybe I need better eyes ;) )

Michael, make timeattack movies out of these "classic" NES games; - [Edited by Bisqwit - I don't want the same topic be discussed in two threads. One is enough.] - (Yes, this post is on another topic as well, I just had to let MF know this as well, sorry for the "spam")

My original ideas for speed runs were SMB 1, 2, and 3, The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., and Donkey Kong. Yesterday I finished making an SMB movie that's way faster than I originally thought possible. Genisto already made a new SMB2 speed run. In SMB3 my idea for new world 1 powerup strategy ended up not being faster than Genisto's. Sleepz already made a new Zelda speed run. That leaves two choices for my next speed run, Mario Bros. or Donkey Kong. Which one should I make? What should I try to do in the speed run. Should I beat the levels as fast as possible? Should I get as many points as possible? Should I ignore speed and points and just do fancy tricks? Should I do neither of those games and instead make a tricks video for SMB 1, 2, and 3, or LoZ?

Neither is very good for a time attack. I'm pretty sure it has been done regulary for DK. So points probably
