What I meant was last input would be 7 seconds earlier. The grabbing-last-star time would be maybe 10 frames shorter.

you do know you have to be on the ground in order to start talking to bowser so he can tell you how angry he is at you and fade into the star right?

The continuation of the new 120 star run gave me a little inspiration, so I'm gonna keep going with this... Last time I checked, I was at the end of WF, so by the end of next week I'll try to have WF, the other PSS star, and CCM done.

Wow....well, to me it looked pretty good; the PSS in 12.5 seconds was a surprise, and the 100 coin route looked superb.

Im not sure, but I could have sworn I have seen a tas of PSS that finished at 12.3. Is that some reason that this method was not used? Wish I could find it so I could watch them side by side =O

You mean this http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-8041503211301820371 but I think FODA jump at the beginning to the left side and that costs time.

Yes, Rikku is right about PSS. This looked great to me. Noticable improvements were -- - The much better/cooler coin route. - More optimal Lobby glitching (much faster than I expected). - The new discoveries since the last run. Next I'd say should be PSS 2 and then Wing Cap tower. One question; exactly how far ahead of FODA are you?

I too am having trouble with the link. Perhaps it worked earlier, but it is not working now.

I linked the wrong .m64, so I fixed it. reclick the link and it should be the correct one. and try not to double post. (it was rikku's JRB wip that was first linked.)

Sorry about the double post. I responded to your edit without thinking. As for Rikku's WIP, quite well done. The 100 coin route for Whomp's Fortress was amazing. And I loved that huge dive you took to get the red coin star afterwards.

I did some quick testing because I wasn't convinced. For WF lobby glitching is a few seconds faster than opening the door and it is much faster for PSS so I was in the wrong. Yeah, I'd go for lobby glitching in most cases as it should be faster, perhaps BoB should be tested...

BoB doesn't require any stars, so it's faster to just open the door and then long jump into painting.

no.
To expand on that, I believe the reason that it isn't faster is because Mario has to go through his entire breaststroke animation to get the best speed. Turboing him just makes his arms twitch in the water and he doens't get very far
