Scwizard: You're trying to post in Small Mario in Super Mario World. Your post was off. Focus on the topic instead of writing off topic about Small Mario in Super Mario World.
Dude!! He was responding to a request for a video of a run of SMALL MARIO IN SUPER MARIO WORLD! Like, duh.

When can it do for the Small Mario run in Super Mario World. Can you complete the game as Small Mario with less exit?

I agree that doing a mimialist small run would be pointless because it wook look almost exactly like the full completion run. For those who havent seen it, here's a small taste of what you can expect from the Small-Only TAS: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3980/SMW%20-%20Castle%202%20small%20by%20thegreginator%20%26%20skamastaG.smv

I was frustrated that you didn't follow the topic before posting: a legitimate complaint, but I shouldn't have taken it out in the way that I did. I'm sorry.

So, when your playing the Small Mario in Super Mario World, breaking the mid-point line as small mario will turn into big mario so avoid breaking the midpoint line. If you break the goal post line, you score a star bouns point. It will cost time by breaking the goal post line and it delays while counting up the bouns.

KRocketneo, you're making yourself look very foolish and ignorant. You're posting information that is obvious to anyone with even a casual acquaintance with this game. If you have something to add, a good first step is to check the Super Mario World Tricks wiki page. There you can see if your idea is already known and find out what detail the game has been studied in. Any new tips would certainly be welcome, but this game has already been studied very thoroughly. It isn't likely that someone without a great deal of experience will find a previously unknown trick.

KRocketneo, your second statement is somewhat incorrect. You only lose time via bonus stars if you get 100 and get sent to the bonus game.

Wow, that was really cool. Some of those shell shortcuts look really hard to do.

jimsfriend: that was amazing in vanilla secret, did you mean to kill the moles and then shell jump, or was that creative on-the-spot thinking after accidentally killing the mole you meant to jump off of? Also lol at looking up the princess's skirt.

In Super Mario World, when your playing as Small Mario, it can be possible to WallJump?

yes, it is possible to wall jump. walljumping is based on mario's ability to get his foot lodged in the wall, not based on his size.

That was impressive jimsfriend. SW4 was awesome. You don't know how many times i've tried that as well as the shell jump you did in vd1 and failed. One question: In Castle 2, why didn't you walljump the whole third room to get to the boss faster? Because of that, I vote meh ;)

Was this used by an emulator or in your TV but no rerecords or slowdown? If it was, awesome work, SW4 was also awesome.

I was playing Mario world on my wii this week and I thought about this topic... I am always amazed at what speed runners can do compared to me... The starworld shell jump was amazing. I can't wait to see the full TAS run and when it comes up for the vote it will definitely be a yes from me.

You're not supposed to vote until after watching the submission. ; P

The run you're referring to was done by jimsfriend on console. It is not a TAS and is not being submitted here, but is being submitted at SDA (as far as I know).

I think he might've known that the video linked to by jimsfriend was done on console, and he was just expressing his desire to see the TAS of the small run. And no, jimsfriend is not submitting the run to SDA. He can say why not for himself, I don't want to speak for him.

Deep Loner: I will watch the video first. But unless I see some mistakes in a video (or the video is boring (thats what meh is for)) I would vote yes. skamastaG: He died during the run so it is not like it is a perfect run yet anyway (that is reason enough to atleast redo it.) and yes I did know it was a console run... I wonder when we will have the first "virtual console" run on the wii...or XBLA re-release run.

Yes I knew that about the death, I was just going to let jimsfriend say that himself. There is no point in a TAS on virtual console since they are just classic games.

I meant the first run on SDA. (we did have the first wii run already.)
