haha. see? our wishlist project IS good for something! make a test run or some other initial progress and I'll post it on the site.
gln64 worked fine with 1080. Jabo's should also as well.
this probably comes from playing too much SSX tricky and such, but is there some sort of score run possible with this game?

There is a trick attack option for the best single course score, which would be interesting for a concept demo, or maybe string all 7 courses together for a full run. I always had a huge problem trying to pull 1080s in that game, and seeing a couple of them back to back due to tool assisted play would be incredibly cool for anyone who's ever played. As far as a time attack, it would be best to start from RAM so that you can finish the last race off against the Gold boarder... I used to be amazed at how the scenery got reflected off of him. Plus he was pretty hard to beat.

I do not believe there to be an as of yet functioning start from SRAM option, only start from savestate which is not allowed. the other ideas you mentioned sound appealing.
picking away at this list one ROM at a time. there's been a few new updates, as always be sure to edit in (or inform us) of ones you test.
It can't be an RSP plugin! OHHHHHHHH :o
.. or make me breakfast. That'd be cool :(
Word has it that project64 got Blast Corps to work fine on their emulator. Does that mean the next release of mupen64 will have compatibility with it too? I really wanna see some destruction =D

if I ever learn how emulators work, I'll make a plugin that fixes people breakfast.
DK64 and Blast Corps work on PJ64. sadly it is not rerecording. it is the hope that the next release of mupen will have more compatibility and possibly fix desynch issues.
haven't done much testing in a while, mostly in editing what's already there and managing new docs created by other people. the good news is that about 1/3rd of the ROMs have a doc, so we're making progress. (kudos to whoever tests Tigger's Honey Hunt or any of the Elmo games.)

Haha. Quest 64. If there wasn't major graphical errors (different colors and whatnot, PINK TEXT), I'd totally watch it. But there really isn't too much to do. I mean, certainly you'd be able to beat marshmallow's SDA run... Thing is, it'd probably be mostly through optimization of running, which is tough enough on Mupen.
...Yes, I tried to run this game -_-

Quest 64? no comment.....
Pilotwings 64 and Star Soldier are up. They're both good, grab 'em while they're not taken.
edit: a certain look at mupen showed me that it IS much easier to take a screenshot from mupen then downloading one from google. ^^ oopsie. I might go and replace all the games where I did that, ones that have a bad screenshot quality.

Right now I'm checking out Fighter's Destiny. I dunno how good of a TAS it'll make, but I used to LOVE the game, and I might just make one for the hell of it ^_^
Edit: Judging from what I've played so far, the game runs great. Best graphics plugin from what I've tested is glN64.

Fighters Desiny was the first acclaimed half decent beat em up on the N64. Personally I think the game has too many repetive fights since you only really ever fight 2 people in the game, that Kung Fu master guy whos very easy to beat but teaches you a new move every time you win and that Joker guy who is a whole different story.

I hope someone takes up Pilotwings sometime. I love that game.
Someone notify JXQ when they get Blast Corps working on Mupen. I can't wait to see his take on it.

The fights are repetitive, yes, and it's damn near impossible to pull off combos that look nice. If I pushed myself to make a movie, I'd just try to show off more than be fast, since the fastest way to win every fight would be to manipulate 3 Counters.
Thing is, though, that the "Arcade Mode" (too lazy to remember real name) is usually really short, so ADHD run-watchers will be able to sit through it. I'd like to do Survival, though it'd get pretty repetitive after the first... maybe 20 fights?
Still, if I made a run, I wouldn't submit it. I'd just post it on Microstorage and share for kicks ^_^

Once I get my schedules organized, I'll take a shot at it ^_^ I used to be a freak when it came to Pilotwings. I'd write down every strategy I'd have and all that. Good times. Unfortunately I was like, 8, and those papers have been lost. Forever.

hm, good ideas. a test run would be best, in trying to make one fight as interesting as possible to see what happens. I know I'd watch it.

yay 1,500th post!
Congrats, and calm down ^_^
I'll have something from Fighter's Destiny up tonight, hopefully, maybe a quick little fullspeed run.
EDIT: Summary of everything I managed to edit o_o
-Rice's 6.1.1 plugin works the best.
-I'm an idiot and I forgot to uncheck RawData.
-It works and I WILL actually have something. I'm starting a topic on it.

Alright, will add the info to tas.schtuff. I see you also have a test run, which I can also include in case you decide not to do this and someone else might. Did you notice any slight errors in the game, or did Rice emulate it perfectly?
And you have Pilotwings in reserve, which I must say is a VERY good "TAS fallback" if Fighter's Destiny doesn't work out.

As far as I know, Rice did it perfectly. So did gln64, but there was that glitch that led to a black screen on resets. The only one with a major graphical glitch is Jabo (the screen does this weird wraparound thing).
Again, I doubt I'm gonna submit a Fighter's Destiny run (I only did it for nostalgia), but I guess I can get something good going.
And yes, Pilotwings will definitely be my fallback ^_^

a request for me to test Ridge Racers N64 has me wondering.... There's a ton of Racing car N64 games, anybody feel up to testing all of them to see which is best? I myself do not appreciate car racing as much (having not played any), which is ironic considering what game I'm working on. needless to say, one of them someone might become interested in running.
