Just wondering wouldn't it be better to merge both the GBA and GB forums together as VBA can play all these game, it would save me all that uncesscary finger clicking and might bring more interest to both these systems in general since as far as I understand GB/GBA games are the least popular on the site.

I think that because both systems have such large libraries of games (i.e. potential thread topics) and a lot of interest from users this single thread would become very cluttered.
I'm for sticking with the two, but I am interested to see what others' take on this is.

I've noticed it too, the GB and GBA games all tend to get fewer votes and less notice than other games in general (other than Castlevania, Mega Man, and Sonic Advance).
I personally don't like the idea. I feel as since they are indeed different systems originaly, I feel that they both deserve their own thread.
If there are good games for TASing in either, they will get noticed by interested viewers, and submission will get noticed easily.

SMS games are crying. I hope you're happy.
Anyways, I think the merger is a bad idea. The way I see it, GB/GBC games are "meant" to be played on a GB/GBC system, whereas the GBA is "meant" to be played on a GBA console. Of course they all use the same emulator, but I don't think that that justifies grouping all the games together. We're splitting the games up by their intended consoles, not their emulators.
I know that GB/GBC games can be played on a GBA handheld, but that's not a logical argument (that you didn't make, but still). Should we bundle GBx and DS games when a DS emulator comes out? What about bundling GCN and Wii games when a Wii emulator comes out? How about bundling all the Playstation games together when a PS3 emulator comes out?
