I would really like to see Trojan done as a speed run. Shouldn't be too long.

How about Cowboy Kid, that was always an interesting game to watch and very fun to play. I don't think it is a very long game either, less than a half an hour.
When scores are drawn, who will you die for?

I know these aren't nintendo games but I would want to see if someone could do runs of Ninja Spirit, and the Splatter house series. The best time I got on Ninja Spirit with continuing is 4o minutes. Really hard since I'm playing in arcade mode.

It's not a very long game. If no-one's done it after I finish this run of Zelda 2, I'll do it (though I'll use Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru, which has better graphics, 100% less pizza, and many many more ninja).

I think a game called Astyanax would make a cool video. It's just waiting to be done. Also, I wish somebody would redo Zelda 1. All the information on how to do it the fastest way is in the Zelda thread, but no one seems to be paying attention to that.

I think that's just a basic outline for optimisation. I was thinking about the problem, and though I'd be no good at actually playing the game, I could probably find the quickest solution given time with the game and a few maps. The route in Michael Fried's video is horrendous, but he optimises it very well. Equipped with a superior route, I bet he could pull it off.

Michael Fried told me he isn't going to make another video, because it took him way too long to make the first. I also feel the same way. I can't dedicate all the hours needed for making the perfect video. But as for the best route... Michael and I have probably spent more time thinking about that than actually playing the game or making a movie of it. I would hate it if I made a movie and then a faster route was discovered. You're right. I only gave a basic outline, but any Zelda 1 expert would know where everything else falls on that route. I mean to say, I didn't find it necessary to include all of the small details, because I assumed they would be understood. I think the main reason why more people haven't done this video is because they just don't know the game well enough. If you want me to, I'll type up all of the details for a guide.

Star Tropics is an excellent adventure but totally unsuitable for timeattacks. Same goes for Willow, I'm afraid. I'm uncertain about Fester's Quest, and I don't have an opinion of the rest.

Startropics won't work with Famtasia anyway. I am pretty sure I could beat Startropics 2 in a little over an hour and I know where everything in the game is because I have beat multiple times in 1 week (I have had this game since it came out) but RPGs are kinda hard to do for time attacks.

Crystalis is too long, so Startropics and Guardian Legend.

Ok, Im up for the task. Since Boco is working on Zelda 2, and the game doesnt work for me, Ill do Zelda 1. Once I finish Kid Icarus(before the weekend), Ill get to work and shoot for under 30:00, if possible.

Shoot for under 28 minutes, since 28 minutes was the estimation :)

Sleepz, cool. Can I have your screenname? There are actually a few nuances to the game that are not so obvious.

We often compete for speed, but sometimes a two seconds slower movie has better chance to get published than a faster movie, if it keeps the audience entertained better. It all depends on various things, but generally more speed is better. Would this also apply if the difference is 2 minutes instead of just 2 seconds? What happens if Sleepz uses a better route to get 29 minutes, but the fighting isn't as good as in my video? Would my video stay on the page?

Ok, let's assume that each fight in his video is .5 seconds slower than in my video for each enemy in the room, for example in a room with 6 enemies it would take him 3 more seconds to kill all the enemies. Let's also assume that he uses a much better route than in my video and also uses Up+A, and ends up with a time of 29:29. Which video would you keep on the page?
