ok, the site is working now, huh.
microstorage should be working for you.... JFG is a much higher file size due to 2 controllers, and it works just fine for me, although does take a little while longer to upload.
I was able to download the file just fine. I've uploaded a mirror:
http://loztp.freehostia.com/oot/dmt_to_ft.zip
Please download it only if you intend to watch it or convert it to .avi/.mkv for those of us who don't have the plugins. ;) (The file is over 1.5 MB and I'm on a free hosting account.)
What Acryte is trying to say is that he's found a major break in FT that would allow you to go directly to the boss without having to superslide into the elevator early or collect the boss key. Consequently, you'd also skip warping to the desert to get Nayru's Love.
However, his Mupen64 constantly crashes when he tries to perform the trick. He is going to post screenshots so that you (and the rest of us) can test the trick to find out if the Mupen crash is specific to his computer. Hopefully, it is and you'll be able to pull it off, but Acryte isn't confident and in the end suggests that you stick with the original plan.
It looks like the trick may be our only hope for sub-2, so hopefully the crash only affects his computer and you can get it to work out. Since time is so critical (as in, you need every second you have right now), I'd wait until it's been verified that there's absolutely no way to get it to work before proceeding...
Also, can someone who does have the necessary plugins to view Guano's WIP please do a desynch check from the beginning?
Sure. Get in the pillar. Activate sword glitch. Align yourself so that you are pointed where my arrow is pointed angularly. Now, equip hoverboots and sidehop to the side. As soon as you start falling downwards (aka after you have peaked) then shield drop a bombchu. Now, take off the hoverboots and continually do backflips and shield dropped bombchus. Here is where my help comes in from the pictures. You see in the 2nd pic where my arrow is? That is where you should get to as far as falling... (I know you don't have a map, sorry). Then you want to keep doing backflipped ones w/out losing much height but gaining distance until you get all the way over to the 3rd pictures arrow. You should be either on floor B1 or hopefully high up on B2. Sidehop. You will pass just in front of the opening top entrance part of the map. This is where the load zone is.
I'll wait to see what's decided to be the best route before I make any videos. Good luck understanding why mupen doesn't want you to get to the boss early :(
The crash occurs when you have fallen a certain distance into the void and then press the buttons to shield drop a bombchu.
Here is an alternative... do the hovers up top but low enough to pass through the base parts of the level... and travel high up horizontally. then do the backflip down, so you don't have to drop a single bombchu at lower depths... Maybe that will work. (i'll test)
No the second idea doesn't work.
Here is another thing... it appears to be the shield dropping of bombchus that does it. Not bombs.... what the hell.
can it be done w/ only bombs in a reasonable amount of time?

Acryte, can you take a screenshot of where you stood in the pillar before you did a sidehop?
EDIT: This isnt working...No matter where I am in the void, it still freezes when I get to a certain distance

yes
Well... mine only freezes from bombchus... ill try it w/ bombs... maybe it is when it hits shield lower down... and it hates both.
Guano - BOMBS WORK FINE. The point in which it decides to suck is directly under the part w/ the blue block and door, etc. That extension of space and what is underneath it. That is where it crashes. I'm not sure if it doesn't do it directly beyond that spot, which would be nice... but this trick can be done either way by using hoverboot backflips and bombdrops. Make sure you drop the bomb early so that it falls a bit and you travel a good deal and fall into the explosion... that way you extend your distance.
I'll be at work for the next... 8 hours or so, but when I get back I can help if you still haven't figured it all out. Just make sure you get good extension off the bombs. But don't fall too far either or you may not have enough horizontal coverage vs vertical coverage and would have to go back a little bit and make adjustments.
Great job Acryte. How many bombs are needed?
Damn mupen. I wonder how much time could be saved if mupen was able to emulate OOT perfectly? No 5 second pause glitch, bombchus should work... I'd say around a minute.

Okay, so I got the superslide into the cutscene to work and now I will try and make the other one work. By the way, how will I beat the Forest Temple if I use the void trick? Will I grab the Fairy Bow and then go to to the spot where I get into the void?
EDIT: I think I am doing this right... I seem to have gotten to a point where If I backflip, I hit something and the camera kind of inverts itself and I just fall and start from the beginning.

Dammit why didn't I think of the idea that Acrtye came up with. Its 100% possible to do its just a matter of how many bombs does it take to reach the boss room. This could be annoying for Guano as the Poe trick is useless now, but I think its best to wait for a video from Acryte, I've had a go at it, but have yet to do it, then again wouldn't hover side steps be better instead of using backflips as its good for helping Link fall down large distances, although that means that the normal boots need to be equipped in order to reach the boss room with the final sidestep. Just to clarify with Acryte is the boss room directly under the stalfos room where the key is usually obtained. I can also confirm that Mupen crashed on me after I used the third bombchu to hover but it worked fine with bombs.
One question about the Minet Skip, how come you just hovered directly against the wall instead of hovering across it leftways and then simply doing a side hop or jumpslash or a combination of both.
If the boss room early is prooven to be succesful then the best option would be to go back the LW and manipulate a couple of bomb drops from the bushes and ignore doing the Minuet Skip, since all the bombs will be required to hover up the blocks and skip to the boss.
