You can get in the Desert for 200 ruppees.
Those who sees this must accept that TAS'es almost skips the whole game..

Nope, it's impossible to get those bombchus as an adult.

Desynced at the first door in Jabu Jabu. Try playing it all the way from the beginning, I'm pretty sure it will desync.

it syncs fine for me so I'll have the video ready later. but really. why didn't you sacrifice a second near the bomb-giving grass to also get hearts. that beeping is really annoying and I don't think anyone would object to a second wasted in a run this long in order for the next 30 minutes to be more enjoyable. Besides, you waste more than that throughout the run by setting up your backwalks with the joystick pushed all the way instead of near the deadzone. edit: and are you sure you need no more deku sticks? couldn't you use down-time to stick slash and then crouch stab so you don't lose the stick? Obviously if you need zero sticks, then never mind.

Maybe Rice's plugin is no longer compliant so I'll go back to gln64 and see if it desyncs in the said area but man, for me, it's so tedious to set up and use gln64 because of how non-compliant it is on my system. Edit: Desyncs with gln64 from beginning to Jabu Jabu so Rice's plugin is still a contender. If you haven't already checked your movie from beginning to end then I suggest you do rather than checking it with a save state somewhere in between (assuming you have been checking with a save state). Luckily, when it synced up because of a save state I used rather than playing back from the beginning, I made a save state right after Jabu Jabu so I should be able to continue watching progress but I won't know where and when desyncs occur.

Why won't Mupen let me change plugins? EDIT: nevermind, I found out you can't change it while the ROM is running *whacks self with a large trout* EDIT2: mupen keeps crashing when I load a movie with Rice. Why?

To save time, can the Fairy at the top of Death Mountain be accessed by Adult Link? This will save me of having to go off course and I can just get to the cutscene by a superslide after leaving the Forest. Questions about the bombchu bowling: 1. If I get a prize of bombchus, will it just give me 10 or will it fill it up completely? 2. If I get the big bomb bag, will my bombs be refilled to 30?

For me, it just crashes with Rice. Is there any way to get rid of that stupid-ass text window?

Can anyone confirm if Adult Link can access the Fairy at Death Mountain? This would be much helpful. Thanks

You should have stayed on IRC longer. I answered that question right before you left. You can visit gf as an adult and a kid. If you play the game as they intended, visitng her as a kid, you get a spin attack+magic, and as an adult, you get a magic upgrade. If you skip the kid portion, I'm sure you'll get some sort of magic anyways. This is confirmed by talking to a Zelda guru (fiercelinkmaster) and by looking at my official Zelda players guide.

k. Thank you DK. This would be better than going to Great Fairy as Kid Link. Now its time to pull the Master Sword. I am going to spare the 2 seconds and get the 20 rupees on top of the chain so I can bombchu bowl and get some bombchus. It takes no more than 40 seconds. This will save time at the Lake bomb hovering.

Yeah. I couldnt make it. The platform wasnt high enough. I did get kind of close though, but not close enough to keep trying. Also, has anyone seen if doing one of those backflips, then right as its happening equip the hover boots to see if you get more of a distance? EDIT: Keeps desynching in Jabu :( EDIT #2: Finally. Success. Master sword pulled at 1 hour and 9 minutes. http://download.yousendit.com/D6A3C1C155B6B19E Got 50 minutes to beat the game :)

I'm a little mythed here, how come the bomb + bombchu method wasn't used to clear that gap, and unless it desynced on me you won bombs from BB instead of Bombchu's . Of course you still need to conserve at least one bombchu in order to clear that gap outside Ganon's Castle plus you can collect a chest of 20 bombchus inside his castle.

Nicely done, Guano. Except if it desynchs from the beginning, then you'll have to do it over. =( AKA, what gap? (I've only watched the .mkv) bkDJ, on the next update would you mind encoding a vid that plays from the very beginning? If this isn't a big hassle for you, it'd be very much appreciated. Thanks for all your work so far!

I have played it from the very beginning, so syncing that isn't a problem. also now AKA's work to bypass the owl is for naught because of how the superslide is set up in the latest wip. As for making a video of everything to this point.... I'll wait until Guano is at the master sword for real. It would take probably 6 hours of letting the emulator run through, and then triple that to encode to a manageable size. And I have no idea if the sound will stay in sync. But I'll try. I'll ask in advance. would you want it to be 320x240 (bitrate ~240 like the current published run) or 512x384 (bitrate ~300, all the latest wips have been this).
