You can skip every owl text in the entire game now, so those shouldn't be a (desynch) problem.

I'M not sure if hex editing will work, because of the Spirit temple, leevers shouldn't cause a desync since Link is moving so fast. The green bubble and spiners come to mind. EDIT: I watched the recent WIP and it desynced in the same way as it did for bkDJ. If you want to redo HF, then I'd advise you do it now, and then I can attempt to hex edit in the rest.

With the blackout screen between places (e.g. Kokiri Forest and Hyrule Field), is there sound in the black screen? If there is no sound, can you just match up the finished .avi with the new .avi of Hyrule Field with the owl skip up until the screen at Guerdo Valley? Like a layover for that few minutes. Also, I put a WIP up on my earlier post to see if the desynch doesnt exist. I can play the movie back perfect so I dont know what the deal is. 1 thing for sure is that if I do get to Zelda from DMT, it will be damn close when the wolf howls. Also, has anyone confirmed if going to the Fairy outside Jabu Jabu will give me a magic meter?

Sorry but I can verify that it desynchs for me aswell. It desynchs when you enter Dodongo's Cavern.

No, Zelda's lullaby doesn't work until you have the magic meter.

I thought you need Zelda's song to play in front of the fountain, then you get the magic meter.

Correct. You can play zelda's lulaby in front of the farore's wind fairy fountain but it wont work if you don't have the magic meter.

No desync here, although the savestate you provided does not work correctly so it will if you use that to view it.

Ohhhhhhh.... so you already need a magic meter. K. So we HAVE to go to the fairy at the top of DMT? Too bad I dont have the BoF to get to the top of the mountain faster/easier. What about going to the Fairy by Hyrule Castle after I learn the lullaby? If I can do this, I will be in Hyrule Field after the cutscene, enter the Market, blow up the boulder at the dead end by the guards. Okay, for the post at the top with the WIP, dont do the savestate and just play the movie back in full. I feel like the Fairy at DMT is the most inconvienence. But, I can also blow up the wall to the entrance rather than climbing the mountain. FEEDBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really have any feedback. but I will say that the m64 works great, though the savestate should be ignored. and so I made this: http://tas.monotoli.org/mov/oot/wip/lozoot-guanobowl-wiptas2-04.mkv also have you tried getting rid of the owl conversation yet? I too worry that it could lead to later desyncs. VVVVVV djs: when I can get them to work, and I'm not feeling too lazy, I'll continue providing videos for the emulation-challenged for OOT and B-K, and I guess MM since I got it to work.

bKDJ, will you do .mkvs off every WIP?
Those who sees this must accept that TAS'es almost skips the whole game..

Thank you Mr. DJ I really hope we can just edit the Hyrule Field part after I am done with the game. That would be so much more easier and less time consuming.

Why not just try to edit it now to see if it works? Then you won't have to worry about it.

So I'm guessing by now we've figured out what makes the castle guards go away, so what is it? Or have we all been getting way ahead of ourselves?

Okay..... So I went ahead and got a bottle from the lady at KV and got it in ~2 1/2 minutes. Sorry for the size/quality of this video because I do not know how to compress and such. http://download.yousendit.com/F960FA6D4384A288 It took me about 30 minutes to come up with the route I was going to take and I think the route I took was the best. Ideas? Suggestions?

I do have a question about Dodongos cavern: in the previous run you simply used two bombchus, and the fish in a bottle trick, leading to the whole dungeon taking a very short amount of time to complete. here, you get the bomb bag, and used two bombs to activate the two eyes. why are these things done? Is it something to do with bottle adventure?

He needs the bombs in order to kill certain enemies in Ganon's Tower without using a sword. Once he has the bombs, it's quicker to use bombs to light the eyes than to use bombchus. He also cannot use the fish trick because he doesn't have a bottle.

Route for the cucco collecting is not very important from one point of view, which one, I can't remember. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I used the optimal one in my OoT 100% segment. You can find it on my youtube profile.

Wow, we pretty much had the same route. Except I started from DMT and you from HF. Only mistake I made was jumping down to the bottom of the ladder instead of jumping to the ladder, like in your video. Damn. Would getting the bottle from the Cucco lady be the best idea? I thought it would be because I am right there at KV and I need the bottle before/after JabuJabu.

Well, the only bottles you can get are talon's, cucco lady's, and ruto's message in a bottle (you better rub me the right way). Ruto's is out of the question, unless we can somehow get the bottle w/out a scale upgrade and get to LH fast, Talon is a lazy bastard, and KV's needs cucco collection. KV seems to be the logical choice, especially since you are close to KV.

HAHAHAHAHA YES!!!! IT HAS BEEN DONE!!!!!!!!! WIP coming after entrance of Zoras Domain (I just bought Magic Bean for Lake Hylia) Also, can someone try and roll into Jabu in a video? That would be much appreciated. Now for the tricky thing. What should I do about bombs/bombchus? I have 2 chus and 10 bombs. This leaves 5-7 for the boost over the fence in Zoras Domain, and 2 to get to Ruto to throw her on the switch.
