I wonder which countrys holds the record for most Movies published ever... Is there an easy way to check?

Probably no easy way to make that determination, but it's probably a tie between the US and Sweden when it comes to published runs. If you are counting accepted submissions, Phil Coté/Genisto and Bisqwit/Walker Boh tip the scales towards Canada v Swinled.

Yeah, I am counting accepted submissions. Could be a fun project for me to find out.

Of course, these numbers are probably highly inaccurate, but I’m going by people who actually put their location in their profile.
I haven't filled in my location. For the record, I'm not from Sweden, but I sure would like to be.

Good luck. I wonder why there are so many Canadian TAS authors...

Probably because there is nothing to do in the frigid north, aside from tinker with computers or take pictures of yourself wearing aviators (oh snap Vatchern). Oh, Canada, when won't I take easy shots at you?

Newfoundlanders are just weird that way (no offense Vatchern, just trying to get back at Zurreco for insulting Canucks).

We can also hunt moose or go ice fishing if we want. But I am interested in finding out stats-by country. Average movie length by coutry, rerecords by coutry, etc. Could be interesting.

I'm a Newfoundlander born one and I'll be one till I die. I'm proud to be an islander and heres the reason why. I'm free as the wind and the waves that wash the sand. Theres no place I would rather be than here in Newfoundland.

That song is awesome! (despite the fact I'm not a Newfoundlander) Man, I haven't heard that one since camp last summer when these two awesome Newfoundland singers performed a concert for us. Vatchern's response beats any anti-Yankee retort.

Should there really be any doubt about that one? Emphasis added by me, btw.

I don't think it fits the spirit of this thread to start being disrespectful towards other people. This kind of taunting is completely out of place.
I think it fits the spirit of this thread pretty well. Please explain to us why you disagree.
Because it makes fun of a person, completely unrelated to TAS-making and TAS achievements, and in a way which is out of line. In other words, it pokes fun in a mean way on someone because he has done something which has been seen as a very negative thing. I think the idea here is to award positive, funny achievements in TAS making, not to attack someone's behavioral history.

Now you have no reason to be sad! I edited my post! The Most Zurreco-y Person In The Forum Award goes to Zurreco. The Person Most Likely To Pronounce His Or Hers Name Jixie-Kwoo Award goes to JXQ. The Person Least Likely To Create Erotic Sentences Using DOS Commands Award goes to Jixie-kwoo.

I find it difficult to see how you can get an accurate idea of how many TASers come from each country since many don't include location. Also, some people (like myself) have changed theirs.

Not everyone has revealed there locations, but then you'd have to consider percentage of population, which would mean that the Scandinavian countrys would probally come on top, then again length of movie/number of re-records on average would make a very interesting comparision.

I've been noticing this for a long time, so MOST LIKELY TO MAKE A SUBTLE SPELLING MISTAKE AWARD GOES TO: AKA. If you skim over his posts they look just normal, but when you look at them carefully ...

And now you're just trying to prove why you deserve the award, huh?

Were the contry stats determined from IP adresses? That way you dont have to ask anyone anything, makes for better statistics.
