is there a outube video for the whole thing? since it is less than 10 minutes.... (it doesn't have to have the whole ending though)

I'd have to make an AVI of the whole thing, and encode it to WMV, then put it on youtube. I do not have enough harddrive to make an AVI of all 8 minutes, the 2 second Pikcahu/metal Mario took up 1 GB because I was making it full frames uncompressed.

I can upload it to youtube. Comicalflop, do you mind if I use my youtube account to upload it? Edit: I will upload the AVI to a file hosting website instead.

sure no problem. apparently in the workbench there's a lot of people that hate the run, despite the vote statistics so maybe I should cancel it... people think SSB is a bad choice for TASing and that my goals are fuzzy and the movie ie repetitive. Meh, I'll give it a few more days and see what happens. From what they were saying though it seems your run will be fine. But it still miffs me a little.

http://rapidshare.com/files/6896963/Comical_Flop_High_Score.wmv.html That's strange. I think it should be accepted.

Not really, only a few (very vocal) people do.

antd I anticipate positive feedback for your run because of the clear goal. The only thing they might be mad about is repetition, but its so fast it doesnt matter.

Well, I don't hate the run, I just disagree with the concept. You'll see me say that the play quality was great, just the choice of what to do was off. I'm mainly only vocal in there because people are attempting to explain their stances using terrible situational logic.

It'll be fine. As long as your run has a well-defined category, we'll push to get it published, provided that it is optimal within that category. I, for one, evaluate runs solely on their technical quality.

antd, someone mentioned somewhere that it was possible to get Pikachu to do his up b off the edge right away to get a time of 2 seconds (falling in the gap to the right of the main area, between the buildings). Could this work in your video for a faster time?

What you describe happens to me all the time in normal. In very hard, I'm not sure about 2 seconds... 3 or 4 maybe... plus antd's killing off of electrode is hilarious. Yes a Pacifist kill like you describe is possible, sorta like what nico did but less damaging and more manipulating of Pikachu to do that. It's worth testing, since antd unless you're progressed a lot and haven't mentioned you were at Giant DK?

It's quite easy to make Pikachu up+B to death but very unlikely that it would take only 2 seconds since pikachu falls down slowly after he finishes the up+B move.

Correct, this is why I thought it couldn't reach 2 seconds.

It doesn't take 2 seconds, it's like 3 or 4. I think electrode is good. Laughing gas is right that Pikachu falls so slowly. I'm at GiantDK I haven't worked on the run much. I can only work on it when I actively want to. =)

There's too many possibilities for Super Smash Bros. not to be published. I think the run needs use a variety of ideas from character abilities, item usage, combinations, CPU suicides, CPU's killing CPU's, program glitches etc. I've got a number of basic ideas in my head if anyone needs help.
