Naruto Ninja Council Sasuke

It's really difficult to manage that the Level-End-Ennemies, didn't use there Jutsu attacks, at the most place, they would us them one frame after my attack, so I battled them many time to skip the most of there Jutsus. Problem is, I used many Jutsus too, at som place it seems that they wouldn't haven any affect, but they have! The next attacks of the annemis change, so that I could beate them faster.
For the Levels, I tried to manage them on fast possibel, so I take Dammage, and try to skip Kakashis speaking (not at all places Possibel). I must stop many times, to load my Jutsu, to use the special Skills.
It was f***ing hard to do this Speedrun.
PS: Next I will try with Naruto.
I taked Dammage to save Time.

You do know that using Naruto is probably faster, right? Could pick up a few seconds on Ebisu alone.

yeah i now, but the two characters are really different. Like the Kick in air, the Jutsu Attacks. Naruto can touch an ennemy on pressing A (jump) then wait 1 frame, then pressing B (attack) Sasuke can't touch an ennemy like that, so i think there would be a TAS for Sasuke and a TAS for Naruto. I beginned it with Naruto, and there are really big differents...

Seemed well done, reminded me of another naruto game that looked a bit more interesting (and probably harder to TAS) though : http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2169 if you ever need another naruto game to TAS have a look at it =p anyways, I'm voting yes, as I didn't see any major things to be fixed

I like the game, and the run was ok. At some times like using fire techneques to burn down trees, it seemed rather slow. I don't know the game all that well, so maybe it actually takes that long to use fire. The fights were extremely fast and entertaining. You seem to have taken hits to save time, and never got anything unnecessary. Voting Yes.

1) Why the european version of the game? 2) couldn't find (E) rom (only U) so I can't take a look at this submission.

For GBA games, (E) and (U) are usually identical in gameplay, because there is no 50/60 hz to care about. There isn't much reason to choose one over the other.

It doesn't necessarily help them to sync, though. Which, however, isn't the case with this submission which apparently was played on the (U) version of the game (yes, that's right: not the (E) version). EDIT: Alright, watched the run. The game is kinda neat, but definitely not too fast paced (or so it seems). There's been a lot of times where you could have pressed the R button earlier to store the charge or whatever that was while running to the obstacle (couldn't you?). Also, the whole jump-over-the-enemy thing also doesn't look very convincing speed-wise. I just don't believe there isn't a faster way of passing them. The dash move also was seemingly underused. On top of that, a couple of missed shots on the boss (especially when using the "multiple shurikens" thing). Overall, the game is not too spectacular (but still TAS-able), and the run is definitely underoptimized. I think it could and should be improved. As for now, voting meh. EDIT2: S@G, don't be discouraged. The more you know about the game and the more experience you have TASing it, the better the end result will be. Try to use more advanced TASing tools (most importantly the memory watch) and do everything with the maximum precision you can afford. It wouldn't be too hard after some practice (as of now, I don't even imagine myself running anything without frame advance and memory watch — so handy it is).

I watched through this yesterday. I was going to say I was surprised that everyone so far had said that the movie was well played, because it didn't look so to me. Now I see that moozooh spotted many of the same things I thought about. I will give S@G a chance to reply to moozooh's points, but as it is I think it's unpublishable. Watching the input, it looks like you (S@G) just hammer the button for the menues, to run, skip text, etc, and this will seldom be optimal. Probably you didn't use frame advance, try it out.

Certainly a publishable game but I think this isn't quite optimized enough. The boss fights bugged me. I saw a few attacks that missed the enemy and I question your use of special attacks sometimes (I know you say you were able to mainpulate the enemy's pattern). Also about the characters, I wonder if we should have 2 runs each with a different character, I know they have differences but I can't imagine the two runs would be drastically different. Perhaps your TAS should have the most optimal character. Then do a run of the "sub-optimal" one and see what people think.
