I'll be working on the Resident Evil : Director's Cut (not the Dual Shock Ver.)
I have spoken yesterday with someone of great knowledge about the run and the route is ready, item management is ready and the run is started.
here's the plan for those of you who knows a bit about RE.
Get Bazooka
2 Rounds in 2F Dinning Room
Handgun, First Aid Spray (Box Visit)(Serum Room)
Knife Cancel Zombie near Brad
Blow-up Zombie guarding Tiger statue? (or Knife Cancel?)
Knife Cancel Zombie Guarding Manor's Exit
1 Round in Dorm
3 rounds for Plant 42 (Reload)
Escape Hunter's attack on 2nd Floor
4 Acids round Yawn
Possible to Avoid Laying Zombie Guarding Elevator
Possible to Avoid Zombie Elevator (2F) (or KnifeCancel/Blow)
Get Grenades rounds
Either Shoot Black Tiger's Door or Knife/Acid Technique
2nd Book Room (Equip Rocket/Open Doom1) (if Knife/Acid used)
Blow up Zombie guarding Control Room
3 Round Tyrant (Pause/Cancel?)
Time in Inventory counted ?! (I still don't know about that)
Check out if faster to cancel between each shot (it is) (CHECKED)
Pause Cancel is simply pressing start ASAP and start again to cancel the shooting/knifing animation. It can also be use on zombies.
I.E.
Knife Zombie
Pause/Pause
Zombie is still stuck into it's «I've been attacked» animation
Jill/Chris are back into the I can run mode
That allows you to run pass him without getting hit.
The trick can be seen in action here ----»
The 2F Dinning Room
Also, Doors triggering seems to work at either very specific pixel, complete luck or sometimes just letting all the controls go and press 'X'.
Much Like dino crisis, In fact I think the engine is programmed to act very randomly when it comes to door triggering so it's mostly having luck, sometimes it's pixel precision, Informative Informations.
A speedrun of 1:04:08 has been made on a Japanese Version of the game and via an emulator , although people can debate about it being done in real-time or it using savestates, I watched the run yesterday and it really looked like it was done in real-time; Many Mistakes and wall hugging.
I don't really know if the Jap version Internal Clock runs Faster than the American version; I will have to verify this, but from what I know the fastest times I saw were done on this Version.
That's pretty much it.
