I am playing megaman 5 right now, and I am noticing that it's way easier then mega man 3 was.

In the original, numbered series? 1. In the original series, counting sidestories? Rockman & Forte. In general? Rockman Zero series.

On a real NES, probably Megaman 1. No E-tanks, and no passwords. Having to finish it in one sitting makes me glad that Megaman Anniversary Collection saves it for you, it takes me forever to beat that game.

Megaman 1. Definitely. I don't think I've ever managed to beat Wily.

I can't even beat 1's yellow devil(3rd's was way easier), and I beat all the others in the classic series easily with the exception of 3, which was somewhat hard. But 4 and 7 both had very, very difficult final bosses for me.

I *love* Megaman 7. It is sorta difficult, but I usually play through it in one or two sittings now. Wily always ends up costing me a few energy tanks, maybe 2 or if I'm doing worse than usual, 3. Oh yeah, and 8 had some tough areas too. More like fustrating. "Jump, Jump! Slide, slide!" Lousy jetboard...

7 is easy except for the Wily Machine. Which is the same from 5 but without Beat. So I don't know why people complain so much. 8 is easy except for Wily 1... "Jump, Jump! Slide, Slide!!" ... ;_; And maybe I just suck at 3D games, but.. When I first played Rockman Zero, I got my first gameover -after- Azte Flcon, where everyone else seems to die repeatedly (one death = gameover, by the way). ..but I can't even beat the intro stage to X7, and I've tried three times.

I've found Megaman 1 to be not nearly as hard as others say. For me, the hardest ones were: Megaman 7 (I dislike Wily and Slashman) Megaman 4 (I dislike Skullman and Ringman)

Hah, that reminds me when I had played Megaman 4 a lot, but wasn't very good at it. I always had to use about 2 or 3 E-tanks for Ringman. Then one day, as I watched, a my friend beat Ringman with just the regular weapon, whithout taking a single hit! Remember this was on a real NES console. I was like WTF!!! How is that possible!! My delusons of me being decent at that game were shattered that day...

Ringman is easy. He has a simple pattern.. and sure, he's fast and he does a lot of damage, but his pattern is really really easy. Stay in the middle, fire, jump, jump, fire, he jumps and shoots, fire, jump over it, he crosses to the other side, repeat.

Try telling that to my 10-year-old self who sucks at Megaman. :) But you're right, I fired up the emulator and after a little while, I can now beat Ringman mostly without taking a hit. Of course, I still make mistakes but if I would practise a little longer I'm sure I could do it unharmed.
