Ahh, the stealth creator is revealed! It is very rare that a high-quality TAS run is made without anyone here knowing about it. Congratulations on that! If you found the experience fun, please try out other N64 games as well. The N64 needs more attention than it has now.

Yes, but in general make sure the game emulates well and, more importantly, does not desynch when making, there is nothing more frustrating than that as AKA and myself can attest to. A pattern I've noticed is earlier N64 games that don't have the expansion pack don't desynch. Later games that require it will look great as TASes, but we'll have to wait until Mupen is upgraded for those games to be dominated.

29725 I know its much. Which time can we expect of your run ?
I'd expect a 16 star to take anwhere around 20-30k to do so its not that much. I'm starting Bowser#3 and I'd expect somewhere around 15:4x. I've currently taken about 24k so far.

Mukki is currently trying to run MM, though you can definitely give it a shot if you'd like. The run will be between two and three hours long, and extensive knowledge of the game and its glitches is necessary.

For future reference, Rikku, if you ever make a TAS that's faster than anything we have here, please submit it! We would have loved to have seen the .m64 file. You did a really great job.

Huh?!? Is this complete? You managed 56406 which is faster than AKA's 56419. Wait... I gotta verify this Edit: THIS LOOKS LEGIT! Rikku completes it faster than AKA!!! Oddly enough, some things don't look as optimized... for one, I felt that Rikku seemed to take longer to get through the first door with MIPS, though he seems to pick MIPS up nearer to the door to begin with. Bowser 2 was funny, Mario for once took damage... but shouldn't that slow him down too? All the tricks were same, but in some cases the setup was different, which may explain the few frames saved. OMG Rikku you are amazing, surprising us twice with amazing runs. Hmmm, does this mean AKA movie which got published in a day would get obsoleted now?

Holy crap. Bowser 1's level is noticibly faster, and yet the beginning still seems somewhat optimizable. the ascent to star 3 seemed faster as well. both the ccm stars seem optimizable. entering Whomp's Fortress seemed much faster. overall I'd say AKA had the best camera angles but Rikku had some better ones sometimes. I liked being able to see what was going on with the lobby glitch. If we could combine the best of both, and add some minor other improvements (like using the windless areas behind the pillars on the final platform of the game to gain some speed maybe?) this run could be sub 15:30.

I still haven't thought about AKA's route. When i'm done with the 120 star run i'll put some effort into trying to find a better one.

Rikku seemed to be much faster than AKA on the chain chomp star.

My movie is a lot more improvable than 13 frames, if the newer strategies save enough time I'd be prepared to redo.

111 stars finished + 8 tested stars Download the savestate slot 9 starting after tick tock clock (110 stars) (putfile...) guys, this is the last WIP. everything up to star 110 is finished, so i'm not even posting a savestate for it, since the run should be submitted soon. i just need some comment if i did anything majorly wrong in the remaining stars, and then i'll finish the whole thing. of course, there's a lot of sloppyness on the 8 tested stars, so nevermind that. just some tips on routes and etc would be great. :) I wanna thank everyone for all the support throught the year. Obviously, without your help the run would be much poorer/slower. It would have taken a lot longer too, since you kept encouraging me to work a bit more on it. The run is far from perfect, but i'm satisfied with it. From the start, my aim was entertainment, not speed, although I liked the competition with some of spezzafer's stars. But overall, what kept me working was the public response to the WIPs. Improving this run should be a lot easier than the trouble it was to make this first one, since making up a lot of inexistant routes required a lot of effort. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as i enjoyed making it :)

I believe wholeheartedly that's it's entertaining AND fast. You've put a lot of effort into it, and I cannot wait for the eventual submission.

No no no. That is not a attack about you AKA. I would only post a .m64 file. But it is not your run faster ?

his run is faster, but he didn't start it until after yours was discovered, and yours was faster than Spezzafer's. So it would've been published on the website, until AKA submitted his.

FODA: I don't see anything wrong with your routes, great work! It's just too bad there isn't a faster way to the top of the big house :(

Well, there's a warp to the balcony of the house from the top of the maze, but you'd need to find some way to wallkick up there...doesn't look promising. BoMF: Too wide.

Is it possible to do repeated wallkicks in a corner? Or is a 90 degree angle too wide?

That warp doesn't get you to the top of the house, though. You'll still need the magic carpet to get up there.

There's a warp from the Big House in the Sky so that you don't have to commit suicide if for whatever reason you lose the carpet and need to go back to get another.
<Zurreco> if so called professional players cant adapt to every playing field, theyre obviously not that great
